Hello Everyone, 2022 is coming to a close. There are only a few weeks left for the 2022 game listing, so if you have a new Fate game, be sure to announce it there. This year I ran five Fate games with three separate Fate groups (so, yes, it is possible to have multiple Fate groups on Roll20). I ran*: Heroes Accelerated: IST Seattle (ended) Fate of the Federation (Star Trek Fate) (ended) Fate of the Alpha Gamma Epsilon World (Gamma World Fate) (ended) Fate of Umdaar one-shot (play test) (ended) Deadlands: Reloaded Fate (ongoing) I am also pushing forward my "planned to run" games into 2023. And, not surprisingly, I added a new game to the list: Learning to Play/GM Fate (another session or two) (on the list since 2018) Fate Star Wars:  Order 66  (on the list since 2017) Battle: Seattle (based on the movie  Battle: Los Angeles ) (on the list since 2017) Dresden Files Accelerated: The Outer Gates (based at the  Outer Gates in the Never-Never ) (on the list since 2019) Fate of Summerland (based on the  Summerland RPG ) (on the list since 2020) Twilight: Fate of the Year 2000 (based on  Twilight: 2000 RPG  by GDW) (on the list since 2020) Fate of  Babylon 5  (on the list since 2020) Changeling: Fate of the Dreaming (based on the  Changeling: The Dreaming RPG  by White Wolf Studios) (on the list since 2020) Fate:  Morts  (Evil Hat Worlds of Adventure) (on the list since 2020) Middle Earth: Fate of the  Fourth Age  (on the list since 2020) Fate of the Borderlands (based on  Module B2: The Keep on the Borderlands ) (on the list since 2020) Fate of Earthsea (based on the  Earthsea novels by Ursula LeGuin ) (on the list since 2020) Fate: US Marine Corps Tactical Robots (based on the robots in the movie  Interstellar ) (on the list since 2020) EverFate (based on the  Everway RPG ) (on the list since 2020) Fate of Valdemar (based on the  Heralds of Valdemar books by Mercedes Lackey ) (on the list since 2020) Fate of the Last Tea Shop (based on the Last Tea Shop indie game) I had a great time running Fate. We’ll see what 2023 will bring. What about you? /Matt * I did run other, non-Fate games, like Good Society: The Power of a Well-Written Letter Season 2 (ongoing), The Few: Britain in Peril (an indie game based on the Battle of Britain) (ended), and a TinyD6 Firefly game (ended).

In 2022 my game master presented a game of AETHER SEA for 3 months, but then we changed to something called PRIMAL WORLD :  a Fate Accelerated game where even the Approaches were undefined. The players are the Chosen, discorporeal beings who arrive in a newly formed universe and try to "stabilize" it.  We called ourselves The Sorter, The Collector, H'avoc and The Healer.  There are entities already alive in this universe, but we made even more.  As we played, we defined six Approaches and their meanings:  Diligent, Inquisitive, Kaotic, Natural, Ritualistic, and Sportsmanship.  We had to fix Approaches and other features of this World to stabilize it.  An entity that was neither good nor evil was making it difficult to do that, as it moves between Worlds and messed them up as they are fixed. Once the World was fixed, we switched to a game of Microscope (a non-Fate game where you play with defining historical events of a setting.)  After the Chosen left, this world went through some ages and gradually became.... PRIMAL UMDAAR , a place striken with drought, and we played here with regular characters but with the Approaches and world features we already established.  We're still in this game.  The characters deal with the bizarreness and consequence of the age of the Chosen, although many in the current age disdain any stories of "gods".  The player who used to play H'Avoc now plays a character who's a priest of H'avoc but because of the passage of time and a decaying language he just pronounces it " 'Avuk " now. Since the summer I also GM one non-Fate game, a game of Traveller in an original SF setting, which is being podcast on YouTube as well.

"How did your Fate games go?" Went well, actually. Thanks. I was new to Fate, but earlier in the year I got the courage to run a play-by-post one-shot with a small group using Fate Accelerated.   I had some nice players. I ran: "Fairytale Mashup" Fate setting (think Oz, Neverland, Grimm...) with lighthearted more family-friendly tone (ended) I still feel a bit new to Fate, but here are some ideas for "plan to run" (in 2023)... Fate of Flying Witches (homebrew world) An idea I have, re-imagining of  Do : Fate of Flying Temple  mixed with Witchcraft : Magic of Hereva ; young witches in training responding to letters for help in a fairytale world, flying between enchanted forests and kingdoms (instead of avatars flying between planets.) (think Stardew Valley, Kiki's Delivery Service, Pepper & Carrot, Little Witch Academia, Little Witch in the Woods, Apothecaria.) Fate of Ryuutama (based on  Ryuutama ) Fate of Golden Sky Stories (based on  Golden Sky Stories ) Fate of Grimm (based on  Grimm RPG  or  Lost in the Fantasy World  ("portal fantasy")) If any of these fairytale or portal fantasy ideas sound interesting, let me know (I tend toward play-by-post format). I'm also interested in attending  Learning to Play/GM Fate sessions this year. Happy gaming
