Can I use assets (visual effects) for magic bought from the store in games where I am a player?

As the topic title asks, is it possible for me to buy an asset pack for magic AOEs and use them in a game where I am a player? It feels wonky to figure the scale of my spells and aim them when I don't have an visual aid to figure them out, and see what is going to get hit and what is not? Or should I just gift the asset pack to my GM for us to have access to it in the game through them? My apologies if this is somehow obvious to someone else, it has been our first game and I am still somewhat figuring how Roll20 works on some matters, and thank you for taking your time to read this.

You can either purchase it yourself or gift it to your GM, either way would work.  If you purchase it for yourself then have your GM assign characters and you upload the art to the character.  If gifting it to your GM the options widen as to how it can be used. In addition to the character option above the GM can use it directly from the Art Library.  Personally, I prefer the character option so that everyone has access.
