LFG SIFRP/ASOIAF - Player Familiar with ASOIAF System and world

Hey all, I am an experienced ttrpg player, and have played the ASOIAF system. I have mostly DMed in my career, but I am looking to join an ASOIAF rpg as a player. I am very well versed with the ASOIAF universe, love it to the point of being frustrated with the show for changing too much. I love all the details, characters, and themes of the world, and really want to play around in it. I am a strong believer in collaborative gameplay. I am strongly for dark, gritty, and adult campaigns, rather than goofy ones, especially in the ASOIAF universe. The universe of course has a great deal of bigotry, but I draw the line at real world prejudice. My time is EST, and I would prefer to play in the late afternoons or night, or play by post. Other times might be difficult. I can't pay, so only free games. Please send me a message if you happen to be looking for an relatively experienced player! Thanks!

Hi there, I’ve been looking for a game set in a ASOIF setting for ages and have not had much luck finding a a game. I am an experienced TTRPG player but I haven’t had much experience GMing but it’s something I want to try more of. I’d be willing to run the game assuming you’d like me to and see how we get on. Thanks I appreciate it! Unfortunately I am alone, don't have any other players. There was advertised a bit ago a possible game that got a lot of responses, sadly the GM disappeared. So I suspect an ad for an ASOIAF rpg with a GM would get some traction. Have you played the SIFRP/Chronicle System before?

Nope,I did want to play the system years ago and even brought the books but never could get a game going. I don’t that would be a big issue as I could reread the rules and we could get a game going. If I were to run a game I think an ad would be the way to go. 

I'd be interested in joining as a player. Have been wanting to play in a ASOIAF game for a while.

Well it looks like we have  3 players for a game and maybe others if they join. If you guys are happy to proceed with myself being the GM I put a game together for roll20.  What we need to figure is times and days we all can make to play the game. And once we have sorted that we then need to have session zero to decide on what type of game we are gonna play, build a character, and build a house etc.  what do you guys think? 

Nice! I am in EST, and mostly available at late afternoons and nights. I am free all days than Monday, though I would prefer a weekday, or Sunday rather than Saturday or Friday.

Could you do 3, 4, or 5pm EST? We will have organise play around my work schedule which rotates from week to week but that should not impact play much. Does that work for everyone?

I' m very family with the game and the setting.  I also have the generic version of the rules on the way right now where you can use the same rules to run your own world that is similar. If we can't get a game going set in the ASoIaF setting, would you be interested in doing a custom world HEAVILY inspired by the setting using the system from the game? It is called the Sword Chronicle RPG. I'm in U.S. Eastern time.

I agree, the Sword Chronicle version is also fun, currently playing another asoiaf-esque game using sword chronicle. 

hi guys, so the update is I’ve looked at my work schedule for the next three months and based on that I think Wednesdays would be a good day to schedule the game. Based upon If everyone agrees to this day what I envision is terms of scheduling.  is the following we 3pm EST  play 3hrs on a weekly basis on Wednesdays for the first three Wednesday in the month and then take the fourth Wednesday/week off from play. Additionally, on those months where there are 5 Wednesdays which is March I have shifts scheduled for the 8th and 15th which means I obviously won’t be able to run sessions so that month will be just 3sessions.  What do you guys think about this?
