Hi all, For years, I have been thinking about a Star Wars campaign centered on a group of force-sensitive individual trying to recreate the jedi order - or something similar - sometime after the death of the Emperor. The campaign would start after the death of Luke Skywalker while battling his own clone at the end of the Heir to the Empire trilogy. If the last Jedi is dead, someone has to try and do something. The New Republic, run by Borsk Fey'lya, has lost the sympathy for Jedi that the Rebel Alliance had. The group is on his own. These past few months I have been holding myself because I saw the august holidays come my way. Now is the good time to try and start this campaign. I had thought to use the EotE and AoR ruleset with the help of some unofficial material but now that I have put a hand on a digital copy of Force and Destiny, I plan to go this way: - characters are created using the EotE or AoR rules. They can have Obligation or Duty, and they have a Morality score. - all FaD specialisations trees become universal. Characters start with a Career from EotE or AoR but will be able to climb any force-sensitive tree (I reserve the right to veto some specialisation combinations if it endangers game balance, and to make sure abilities don't overlap too much). - during the course of the game, characters will have to find ways of getting rid of their Obligation. I am not sure about Duty, perhaps every character should finally develop a Duty around the theme of the campaign (after perhaps getting rid of their Duty to the republic). I don't plan to have an NPC getting the group together: it would be much better it was orchestrated by the players themselves, through their characters. Moreover, I would like to have a few characters trying to drive the group to the goal of the campaign, with a few other characters not convinced that much (at least at first). Character interaction and light conflicting situations are key to good RP session, in my opinion. The game would be text-only, and would take place every other sunday evening (GMT+2 time) at about the time of the present game. Players are encouraged to be motors of the story: I create and manage antagonists, places and situations, but don't prepare a full-fledged story in advance. It is the choice of players during a said session that will determine the contents of the next one. Players are also encouraged to discuss and refine the theme of the campaign so that it is the gaming group's own campaign (and not just the GM's campaign). Tell me if any of you would be interested in participating in this game. I will set up a game on roll20 and invite interested people from here fist, then advertise the game if in need of more players.
