Character Inventory Containers/Management (D&D 5e OGL Sheet)

Score + 33
We need better inventory management in the Equipment section of the D&D 5e OGL Character Sheet: Ideally, this would include: Management tools (ability to add, search, and sort for tags/labels on items in your "Equipment" inventory), Sharing tools (ability to transfer items easily from one character sheet to another , and to easily send an item's description in the chat for the party to read/see), Visual aids (ability to add a small image of the item to its Equipment inventory listing, akin to the coinage images for CP, SP, GP, etc. ), and most critically... CONTAINERS!!! ( item folders to establish a hierarchical order of items within items ) More specifically with respect to containers , the following capabilities would make our lives so much easier AND improve our immersion for roleplaying purposes: Weight/encumbrance reduction (some containers like a bag of holding have a fixed weight such that their contents weigh nothing do not encumber anyone carrying the container until the contained item is removed; there could be a reduction scale modifier (e.g., 0%–100%) to accommodate a wider variety for items that might reduce content weight by half, for example) Maximum capacities (restrict containers with an optional maximum weight burden , since many a backpack/sack/pouch/etc. can hold only a fixed quantity of other items) Multilevel sorting ( subfolders ; e.g., if I want to keep items inside a pouch, inside my bag of holding , inside my backpack)
Yes please! This would massively improve ease of play.
I did not know I needed this until I read this but now I must have it.
+1. Any improvement to the equipment list would be good, but containers, and the ability to close them and hide what's in them to simplify the sheet, would be wonderful. I lilke the idea of support for a bag of holding container with a fixed weight ignoring the contents, but you also need some way to see the weight of the contents, becacuse a BoH has a 500 lb limit.  What I use today for these for my players is a separate character sheet for the bag, so the sheet inventory total is the bag total, but this makes it awkward to move things from bag to carried/worn and back. And yes, nested containers (e,g. pouch in sack in backpack) would be helpful too. Some Compendium support for containers is also needed, so you can buy an Explorer's Pack, and get a container added with the individual items.
It would be nice to have full support - nested, user-defined, etc (ala DDB), but any support would be better than the present situation.
This is such a great idea. It would make it so much easier to determine what is stored in which pouch, and un equip groups of items. I could even see it being expanded to work for shared storage like a horse drawn cart.
