Breach the Heavens Time and Date: January 22st 12pm CST (exact start time negotiable by 2 hours) # of sessions: Multiple One Shots Run Time: 3 to 4 hours Number of Openings: 5 Breach the Heavens, abbreviated BtH, is a tabletop role-playing game based on popular Chinese webnovels and western authors inspired by them such as Battle Through the Heavens by Heavenly Silkworm Potato, Transformation by I Eat Tomatoes, Will Wight’s Cradle and Apollos Thorne’s Heaven’s Laws.   In BtH you play as a cultivator, an individual capable of manipulating the mysterious substance known as chi that permeates the universe. Cultivators are capable of incredible feats of strength, speed and mental acuity, can manipulate the elements of the world, are resistant to the ravages of time and can manufacture wondrous treasures.   While their reasons for doing so may vary many cultivators seek to reach the apex, the hypothetical peak of martial arts, through the acquisition of rare treasures both natural and man-made that can be found throughout the world. It is a treacherous path fraught with peril. Despite their pretense of honor and nobility many cultivators are not beyond theft, betrayal, coercion and even murder to get what they want.   BtH’s is a power fantasy where you and your allies aspire towards greatness. From the very beginning you will contend with beasts that can threaten entire towns and navigate the deadly politics of clan and sect. And one day, if you live long enough, you will join the ranks of divine realm cultivators in their never-ending war against world shattering terrors.  BtH uses a d6 dicepool success counting mechanic for task resolution. Combat is zone-based similar to Fate and Age of Sigmar: Soulbound, the later of which was a major source of inspiration for the system. There are five attributes and no skills so the game is relatively simple but has strategic options. Currently the alpha rules I've listed mostly cover combat but I will be running full one shot sessions for purposes of playesting. You can keep your character across playtest sessions or roll another. The rules document is currently under 5000 words. I don't know if I'm allowed to link to hit here but I can message you if you want to look over a copy before commiting.
I sent you a DM.
