hello! thanks for stopping by! my best friend and i have been playing for about 5 or so years now and, after a brief respite after some burnout, we're ready to jump back in and find a "home" to start playing again. things we look for . a mix between roleplay, combat, exploration, etc. we really do love the roleplay aspect of the game and the emotional tie it brings when the characters are genuinely invested in both each other and the world they're in. immersion is the biggest piece, i would say. we enjoy optimizing our characters, but that's not the end all, be all for us. we enjoy the character development aspect of games as much as anything else. we also look for an LGBTQIA+ friendly environment. both of us are part of the community and would enjoy being at a table that's cool with it, which also means the world we're in would be okay with it, too. a brand new game or one that is established is fine for both of us. we don't mind starting from 1 or jumping in if there's room at the table for both of us, as long as it makes sense. when it comes to character creation, we're both enamored by the dice gods and enjoy rolling for stats, but we're not opposed to point buy / standard array but it's definitely not our choice. the challenge of the rolled stats appeals to both of us. we're also into working along with the dm to make our character's make sense in the world—we enjoy the possibility of our character's pasts coming back to haunt them or taunt them, to overcome those types of challenges within a new group dynamic, etc. feeling like the characters are tied to the world outside of just "i'm an adventurer here" is something we love and strive for. we're open to pay anywhere from $5 to $20 a session. we know being a dm is hard work and we're okay with compensating for the quality and effort that goes into the games. we both don't mind module games or homebrew. or a mixture of the two. we're available wednesday - sunday and can be flexible on the times. i'm in pst timezone and he's est, afternoons are preferred but we can make it work. if you have any other questions or you'd like to reach out, feel free to respond here or message me on discord at crowcifer#7015 i look forward to hearing from you!
