Invisibility to a specific token

I'm setting up a small story champaign with the big bad being a balhannoth, with one of the lair actions being able to make itself turn invisible to a specific character. Is there a way to achieve this without doing some double map wizardry?

Hi Oa7h! If the other players are willing to see a colored dot instead of the token art, yes. Use a generic   Invisible Token to mark its position. Give control over the token to all players but the affected one. Put an aura on it with a radius sized to indicate its token size, and set the aura visibility to "edit". Only those with control will be able to see it. Since it doesn't represent the actual creature, they won't be able to get any information from it. You can set the same sort of visibility on the name plate. Be aware that any token markers or tooltip text will be visible to all. If you need to have an actual token that represents the creature, keep it off to the side, hidden by DL or Fog of War. Just use the generic token to mark position on the map.
