The Kobold trapsmiths proved a challenging adversary. As well as their traps they had tricky devices to stun and blast us with spikes. It was soon apparent that we may have entered the graveyard without a proper plan. "What are you ghoulies doing in here? You know that the boss is going to be really mad about this but if it's war you want then it's war you'll get." Because of the language barrier it took a few moments to understand our error. We had been warned that the dragon hates ghouls and had forgotten to drop our disguises though once Samba got the message he dispelled our magical guise. "I think it's too late to make an effective retreat. We're going to have to fight our way out of here." As we moved through the maze of tunnels we found more enemies hiding in the darkness. What seemed like large stalagmites were actually Ropers and Wrendell stumbled upon an undead drake. During the chaos of the battle a number of us were almost killed – things were not looking good then Strom managed to disturb the dragon who's home this is, Gondecap.  "Itrewic Ekik!" "Ah.. I'm not sure what you're saying.." "He's saying 'Get Out'." Strom makes a bold attempt, "Can we have a moment of your time? I think this is a big misunderstanding." "Itrewic Ekik JAKA!" and then blasts Strom with a bolt of lightning which burns him to a sizzling crisp. Nickolai only just manages to drag the body out of the line of fire and offers some healing. Stroms eyes open a squint and he manages to creak out, "Urrrggg. I think we should leave."  While Nickolai and Strom find their way out of the cave The rest of the party have to contend with the last Roper before we can get out. We are all fairly damaged and distressed by the encounter but we manage to regroup outside the graveyard and find a place to rest for the day Once we were fully rested and ready it was decided to return to the Graveyard and try to negotiate with the dragon rather than fight it. As Strom is the only member of the party that speaks Draconic he would do the talking. Unfortunately speaking with others isn't Strom's best quality. Wrendell patted him on the back and said he would be fine. Just say what I tell you to say. At first things were quite tense. We explained that we had come here to try and upset the Ghoul empire and Gondecap was all good with that. We went on to say that we needed the Lord's Staff to use for our plan. Gondecap was very reluctant to part with the staff though as it was a major prize in his hoard. We tried offering an exchange with some of our magic items and a chest of coins which Gondecap was slightly interested in. He then asked us more of our plan for the staff. Strom, lacking the subtlety of language, told him that we would give the staff to Lord Nerrasin who would in turn attempt to overthrow the current ghoul emperor. Gondecaps eyes widened, "Nerrasin! The last King, The same Nerrasin who is responsible for the deaths of my entire family and causing my life to fall into this ruin. NERRASIN!!!! ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!" "I don't think the negotiations are going in our favour." KAZZZZIIIIiiiittttttTTTT, A blast of lightning fills the cavern and we are forced to negotiate the old-fashioned way. We duck and dive in and out of the cavern taking pot shots from various vantage points. Gondecaps allies, skeleton drakes, rush out from side caverns to join the fight as well. I created a wall of fire to keep the main dragon on one side of the cave while Wrendell knocked it down. Using the holy robes of Sister Adelind we soon made short work of the undead drakes and soon Gondecap was defeated. All that remained was to collect our treasure and go back to Nerrasin.
