My Display for Maps in my Games is BLACK

when i go into my games to look at my map screens which are set on the maps layer its completely black minus the action buttons on the left and all the stuff on the right side of screen. i try turning off DARK MODE nothing happens. every way i try to fix nothing happens. is there a glitch someplace

Hi Tim! Are you able to see anything on other layers? Is the background of the pages set to black (just in case it's a broken image issue). Have you tried loading your games in a different browser or a private browsing window?

i have checked background color i have set to white so it can show the grid of my map. i only use fire fox , this working fine a couple days ago. when i put the red ribbon on the map i want to see i click and nothing happens..

on other layers and setting opacity STILL nothing happens

i have checked all my current games this problem is on all of them. it used to load my pinned map or a white gridded screen. not now..

Something I have had happen a couple times is that something doesn't seem to load in correctly, and the UI looks a bit off (like the right pane headers extending to the left of the pane itself) along with the map being black.  When that happens, everything suddenly displays normally if I grab the left edge of the right pane and drag it a pixel or 3 narrower or wider. I can't get it to happen consistently, but when it does I am usually opening Roll20 in a browser window that isn't maximized. I have no idea if my intermittent problem/solution is connected to what you are experiencing or not.  Might be worth a try though. This is with Firefox 109.0.

i tryed turning my comp back off and on. still not working

now when the page loads its doing this thing with my name tag at the bottom left. my name tag has an IMAGE set to normal size , always has been. when the page loads that image disappears and just shows my name with that color nub for dice roller. i tryedc dragging this and that NOTHING IS WORKING

IM PAYING FULL PRICE FOR THIS wtf. cant someone tell me how to fix this. i have been at this 3HOURS. NONE OF MY GAMES WORK

Tim, could you show a screenshot of your game?  Which browser are you using?  Did you try incognito or private mode? (very important troubleshooting step)

im on firefox dont even know what incognito mode is

On Firefox, it's called a Private Browsing window, and it should be in the same menu where you can choose to open a new window. It (mostly) ensures that your session is not relying on cached data, cookies or any possible interfering extensions. And Gauss beat me to the screenshot request. Something is obviously going wrong between your session and Roll20. Since it's not widely reported, it is likely specific to that connection, and is usually due to a browser/extension problem, connection issue or a bad setting.

I know this is almost certainly not the issue, but I have to ask, just to make sure: Putting the flag on a page changes the page for players only. You yourself are clicking on the page you want to view, irrespective of the flag position?

Also, if none of the suggestions here are helping, your best course of action is to gather a  Console Log ( Chrome , Firefox ) and file a  Help Center Request  to create a ticket and get a team members eyes on this.
