"X" Token Marker question

Hi, is there a way to make token markers that behave the same as the X (dead) marker? Would be awesome to make markers that are more noticeable even when zoomed out Thanks!

I'm pretty sure there's not.  I thought I remembered seeing a workaround to replace  the dead 'X' marker with another, but if there was I can't find it.  I'm only finding this thread that pretty much says there's not much that can be done.

All other status markers only fill a small portion of the token (top-right 1/3 or smaller).

This might be a good use for token auras, then. And thanks for the shout out, Andrew!
