At the dawn of time, a war between the gods and Titans left the world of Thylea forever changed. Thousands of years later, the first mortals arrived, carried by ship and dragon. The Dragonlords were the champions who overthrew the Titans 500 years ago and forged the Oath of Peace. But the power of the Oath has waned, and now the Titans seek vengeance. You are one of the heroes called by prophecy to end the conflict once and for all. Poets will sing of your deeds for centuries to come... if you survive. Odyssey of the Dragonlords is an ancient Greek mythology themed D&D adventure written by the former BioWare creative directors behind classic games such as Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect 1 & 2 and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Join with other prophesied heroes to undertake an epic quest to save the world of Thylea, sail the islands of the Forgotten Sea, and battle the Titans. If you prove yourself worthy you may even get to ride a dragon like the Dragonlords of old! Players can choose an Epic Path at character creation that will provide additional backstory, quests and rewards. They also provide a mythic archetype for the character, so that each player can feel like one of the great heroes of Greek mythology, such as Heracles, Achilles or Odysseus. This module also includes six unique playable races taken from Greek mythology (such as Minotaurs, Nymphs and Sirens), as well as new subclasses for each base class. A Free players guide is provided for this module which can be found at DrivethruRPG: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/267073/Odyssey-of-the-Dragonlords-Players-Guide When will games take place? I hope to run this campaign weekly for multiple groups. If you are interested in playing, please let me know what time slots you are free and what style of play you prefer (e.g. heavy roleplay, high character optimisation etc) and I will try and from groups that put likeminded people together. Once I have an idea of numbers, I’ll go into detail with each player about character creation and session zero. Who am I? My name is Scolban and I’ve been a DM for over 5 years now and have been running games on Roll20 for around 2 and a half years. I’m a pretty laid-back with a flexible DMing style; I run games that run the range from heavy roleplay to combat focused as well as various levels of character optimisation. Rather than try and explain in detail what I’m like as a DM I’ve put together some videos taken from an Odyssey campaign I’m currently running. This should hopefully give you a good idea of how I run games and what this adventure has in store! Combat encounter: The Heroes of Prophecy must face a band of Amazons and their beasts of war. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8-Db4doApY&list=PLLi3-8XfuYx6narFkUU3d66Fp3i0EFZM - Social encounter: The Heroes of Prophecy must persuade a rambunctious band of Satyrs to help them with a quest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=do-0CVcuahg If you have any questions, please let me know! This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $15/£12.50 per session via Paypal.
