So, my Tuesday night group decided to give the new voice and video a try. For the most part, we found that the voice and video was improved and we didn't have the usual connection issues. One of the group was constantly going in and out with the system complaining about the connection being unstable but that could be because he only has a 15MB connection. I suggested he upgrade. However, the group did note a few minor issues: The order of the avatars is different. It looks like the order is now that your avatar is the leftmost one, and the others are in the order the players join. My players were a little disconcerted by the fact that the order they were used to was different. Not a big deal. The images are reversed. The images are what you might see when looking in the mirror. That is different from what it was before and it's odd. We're wondering if there is any way to change that. We couldn't see anything in the settings. It seems that the avatars are bigger than they were. I use "small" avatars but they seemed bigger than what they were before, almost as big as what "regular" was in the legacy system. My players didn't like the fact that they couldn't move the avatars around. It's something I never did, so I'm not sure if this is a feature of the legacy system but they seemed to think so and complained that they couldn't move the avatars to re-order them. Maps took longer to load. For some of the players, when I switched them to a new map, they didn't see the new map. They had to log out and log back in again to see the new map. I'm not sure if this is related to the new voice&video. As I said, these were minor issues. I think the two biggest things that need fixing are the reversed image problem and the map loading problem. Other than that, we seemed to have fewer connection problems than usual so that's a plus.
