so i have had this happen with some player tokens and drag and drop. for example we take our humble bloodseekr. As we see default token set. all that. find on the board. now when I REMOVE this token then redrag it from the journal onto the tabletop Bloodseeker is now sad stickman. I may be missing something so please correct me if i am but this does seem like an issue if for some reason you set a token..changed your mind later..now you are stuck. It is ONLY doing this once you set that default token. if i make a new sheet, set a token but never set the optional default. works perfect. so steps, 1:Make sheet 2:set token, drag on to grid, do not set optional default token. See Token. 3:Set optional default token, drag onto grid. See Token. 4:Remove optional default token, Drag onto grid. Sad Stick man.

This is a known issue of the token update awhile back.  If you want to create a token out of the avatar you can drag the avatar from the Bio and Info tab to the table. Note: if you have text in the Bio and Info tab it may prevent you from doing that, cut the text...drag the avatar, then paste the text back in.  Finally, the forums are primarily for users helping users, if you wish to file a bug report with the Devs I suggest doing so via the Help Center .
Ahhh didn't know it was known issue. I did try to do a search on that first, I was hoping it was just something I was mucking up, thanks for the reply though!

There is a workaround to get the token back from the avatar art. 1. Right click on the avatar art 2. save image to disk 3. Upload image to game. It is now in your art library and can be assigned as any other token image.
