Context: long time DM (almost 10 years or so) that has played 3 multi year 5e entirely homebrewed campaigns. Throughout the years I have made many changes to the fundamentals of 5e to create a unique and engaging experience at the table. I'm looking to do a one-shot series playtest (1-5 sessions) to see how a new ambitious system could work. The goal of this playtest is to utilize homebrew systems and then discuss them after session. However i will still aim to provide a session experience that does not feel like a playtest, an adventure full of mystery, action and fun roleplay. I'm looking for players with a understanding of the rules or prior experience to 5e. My goal in DMing is to provide my players a well-rounded experience so they can create a story and adventure that they find fun and rewarding. I am a big believer in the rule of cool in the name of fun and memorable experiences. I am okay with homebrew content dependent on it not being blatantly broken. Gameplay will consist of exploration, combat, and roleplay. Roleplay isn’t required but encouraged and rewarded especially roleplay and dialogue amongst players. I AM NOT out to kill or TPK my players I think it kills fun but will keep the risks high and provide opportunities to really push fans of combat. I encourage teamwork and positivity amongst players. Homebrew features: entirely homebrewed world with homebrew creatures and encounters. /// homebrew system testing: simplified mitigation based armor system, roll to hit accuracy system change. Vocal actions. Battle inventory system. There is a possibility I would be willing to DM further for the group if the players chose meshed well, and unanimously agreed to want more. Setting info:Kore is a world filled with exotic settings, mysterious quests, and fantastic creatures awaiting groups of adventures to weave their story into its ancient history. The adventurers will begin their story in one of the many kingdoms on the continent of Zelt. A land recovering from scars made by chaotic figures long ago that seem to be breathing life once again. With this looming unease the call to adventure grows strong in figures both good and evil to make their mark on history. The game is high fantasy, point of reference would be games like final fantasy or warcraft. If you are interested in this playtest please post to this a comment including your character idea and a brief description about what you like about DND/TTRPGS. This will most likely be taking place on Saturday nights.
