Hello Everyone! My name is Jason, I'm a relatively inexperienced DM with a lot of passion, a love for world building and a dream of a campaign my players are just as passionate about as I am. I've had some troubles getting it going but I think I finally hit my stride, but getting to this point took some drastic changes.
My game is set in my homebrew plane of Aeternara, the best way I could describe it is Fantasy Modern and on occasion Fantasy Sci-Fi. Parts of the world are high tech, other parts high magic. You could have spent your life in the steampunk metropolis of Aurora, taking advantage of it's technological wonders, or been born on the war torn continent of Thanoros, where the arcane energies are so strong that belief alone can summon gods.
Your character is one of many adventurers who answered the call of The Isle of Sodor's Matriarch known as Madame Splendor, she has a project that needs daring souls to risk their lives to complete. A set was picked, but somehow they disappeared. Provided there aren't any major scheduling shifts, The Plane of Aeternara calls every Wednesday at 9:00PM to 12:00AM EST (Sometimes up to 1:00AM if the session demands) . I am looking for 2 new players who care about not just combat, but story and roleplay since after a disagreement within the group about expectations related to that I recently lost two players. Aeternara is my worldbuilding passion project and also an experiment in tinkering with TTRPG rules, little to say there is a lot of homebrew going on. That said I am open to all types of characters and want to work with you to design the next legend in my worlds history. My only major restrictions on character creation are that characters must be from Aeternara, as we are currently plane locked (Most of the populace doesn't even believe in the multiverse, they think it's just a theory) and that Chronomancy is a forgotten art, my players can't take advantage of it. You call over The Shift's Illithid bartender for another glass when you're interrupted by Dr.Kauldera barging into the restaurant, they looking rather frazzled and overworked.
"Constructed Undead has gone missing after a teleportation failure" they announced to the crowd of able bodies adventurers. "The city and Madame Splendor need your help. You'll be paid well for your help and if they are truly lost we'll be in need of a new team for the Veiljammer project." They continued.
Your fellow adventurers seemed a little cautious after being thrown to the wayside last week, but something in your heart is telling you you're exactly what the Doctor is looking for.
