S069_Vampires_Suck_Part_II November 12, 2018 Monday RECAP “It is a good thing you’re out. Jimmy thinks you are a friend of ours so wants to include you on something big! I aint got no details but it’s big. After work tonight I’ll take you to him and he’ll tell us all about it. He’s been twitchy lately and only sees people at night.” <Shrug> “Whatever, day, night, who cares? He’s the boss, am I right?” Monday 6;00 PM Network is looking for Gratz using the likeness from a painting downloaded from his previous castle (150 years old). Network becomes aware that something is watching his presence online. He gives the observer a icon wave so it knows that he knows that he is being watched. Paladin heads off to see Lilli the Vampire Prince of New York City. Kismet and Big Tuna join him. They are ushered into Post Nuclear and head up to Lilli’s office which overlooks the night club floor. [Floor Plan to be determined considering the number of times the group winds up here.] She welcomes them into her presence. She offers them a drink, O, AB, B-, or something from the bar. They decline. Lilly remarks about the ‘new blood’ the group brought with them, referring to Big Tuna. Okina Maguro introduces himself then engages her in conversation in Italian. She beams happily at being able to use her native tongue. Despite the pleasure she is taking in the chat she switches back to English so as not to exclude her other guests from the conversation. Paladin and company tell her about Gratz’s intention to transform Jimmy ‘Young Blood’ Morelli into vampire and turn him loose on the city. Jimmy would be unaware of the Masquerade and the requirement that he needed to get permission to create Childer. This permission needed to be handed off from his sire, to the clan head, and ultimately the Prince of the City. Lilli thanks the team for bringing this to her attention. She calls out for ‘Laflore’ and an ugly vampire (a Nosferatu) emerges from the shadows. Lilli tells Laflore to learn everything about Jimmy Morelli and report back to her with the report. Lilli then tells the group that since it involves Vampires she will handle the problem. The conversation continues for a bit and the subject of Gratz being allied with the Sabbat gets mentioned. This is an issue as the Sabbat does not recognize the Camarilla’s restrictions on creating Childer. Lilli trying to enforce the restriction could erupt into a ‘bloody’ war between the Camarilla and Sabbat factions in the city. Paladin tells her that one of the Brigade is already interacting with Jimmy Morelli and depending on what happens the Brigade might have to get involved before Lilli and the Council decide on a course of action. Paladin, Kismet, and Big Tuna then take the van to the location where Revenant is meeting Jimmy ‘Young Blood’. Kismet sends a message out over the mind link to everyone who has one summoning them to the apartment where Revenant is meeting with Young Blood. Meanwhile the fashion model Marley Kingston (a.k.a. Marvel Girl, PRIMUS agent and member of the Brooklyn Brigade) has returned to the states following a two month assignment in Europe. She is currently working an assignment for video game art in the warehouse district near the Bunker, the Brooklyn Brigade’s very public headquarters. When Kismet’s alert goes out Marvel Girl answers the summons with the rest of the crew. Revenant disguised a Rickey ‘Beans’ Mariconda is being taken to see Jimmy ‘Young Blood’ Morelli by Trevor -Triggerfinger- Rinaldi. They get to Jimmy’s apartment building and head up to the 15 th floor where Jimmy’s apartment is. Rocko, Jimmy’s doorman, lets them into the apartment. Jimmy is there with several other members of the Morelli crime family: ‘The Professional’, ‘Silver Dollar’, ‘The Undertaker’, ‘The Warlock’, ‘Wonderboy’, and the already mentioned ‘Rocko’. Jimmy starts his sales pitch on his vision for the next phase of the Morelli family’s activities in New York – he plans on taking over. He tells Beans (Revenant) and Triggerfinger that he give them great power in exchange for loyalty. Great power indeed starting off with immortality! Beans wants to know what the catch is. Jimmy tells him all he has to do to become immortal is to die first. Trigger Finger and Beans question Jimmy about the details of the power he is offering. To demonstrate he has Rocko (who is still only human) arm wrestle him. Jimmy easily defeats the mountain of muscle that Rocko is. The then has The Professional shoot him with a 9mm pistol. The slug does not seem to cause Jimmy any discomfort. Jimmy then holds Rocko over his head further demonstrating how powerful he has become. Trigger Finger is reluctant. He doesn’t want to leave his girl behind. Jimmy tells him that he can stay with her until she gets old, or he can kill her if she gets annoying. Exasperated at how whipped Trigger Finger is he tells him he can make his girl a vampire too if that will make him happy. Jimmy says after they are made into vampires they will know how to make more. Jimmy tells them to be fruitful and multiply. Trigger Finger is satisfied and agrees to be vamped. The Professional begins drinking his blood, because death is the first step to becoming immortal! Beans also agrees. Jimmy steps behind him and is about to sink his fangs into his neck when Beans fires off a blast of energy and reveals that he is actually Revenant of the Brooklyn Brigade! The battle begins. Marvel Girl carries Paladin from street level to the 15 th floor. Kismet teleports Big Tuna from the van curbside to Jimmy’s luxury apartment. Paladin warns everyone to watch the collateral damage, not everyone in the apartment building is in league with the villains. Network teleports via the electrical grid from the base to Jimmy’s apartment. He exits the wall socket in Jimmy’s kitchen. Trigger Finger and the Professional are in rapt oblivion and unaware of the battle that is raging around them. Big Tuna uses Warlock as a club but missed his target and smashed a hole in the floor. The fight is going against the vampires. Jimmy orders his men to delay the heroes for a bit while he makes good his escape. Turning to mist he flees down the hole into the apartment downstairs trying to escape. Kismet, Revenant, and Network follow him down and render him unconscious preventing his retreat. One of the vampires is mental paralyzed in bat form, more are wrapped in Networks bolo-gun, Paladin batters more into unconsciousness. Rocko, Jimmy’s doorman, was hurt in the fight. He was in danger of bleeding to death but Big Tuna performed paramedics and stabilized him. With the battle complete Kismet calls Lilli. Lilli will clean up crew to take care of the mess as an internal vampire matter. She assures the group that none of these vampires will bother anyone again, ever. Rocko, Jimmy’s former doorman, surrenders. He tells the group he has been wanting to get out of the life of crime for some time now and thanks to them he finally has the chance. Rocko asks the Brooklyn Brigade for a new job and the group could use a secretary. Hummm….maybe. Kismet uses her healing power on Rocko restoring all but 5 points of body. Rather than leaving Rocko to face the fate that Lilli had in store for the rest of the vampire-mobsters the group takes him with them. Paladin has yet to chime in as to his opinion about letting Rocko join the staff of the Bunker.
