AN OUTLAWS’ REDEMPTION - D&D5E HOMEBREW CAMPAIGN INSPIRED BY THE GAME RED DEAD REDEMPTION! About the Adventure In the year of 1899 and the setting of the Red Dead World with its U.S Western Territorial States. A gang of outlaws are on the run from the Law and its contracted Pinkerton Detective Agency. Always seeming to be too close for comfort, the gang moves camp from state to state, trying to stay ahead. The members of the gang come from all walks of life, some seek protection, a job, or just a sense of belonging. Some had to rob people, banks and trains, just to get by or to enjoy life. This all led by Dutch Van Der Linde, whose vision is to simply protect these people from the grasp of the Law and to find them a real home. A rival gang, The Dalton’s, seemed to always step on the toes of Dutch and his people, with a rather cut throat mentality to the folk around. With Dutch’s sense of a moral compass, he seeks to take down the Daltons with some personal complications included in this pursuit. As the Pinkertons hunt the gang down with the rival gang making things complicated. Will the gang truly be free and safe? What will they be willing to do to get there? What choices will they have to make? This is life, as the Wild West slowly but surely becomes tamed. This Western adventure will be a medium-length campaign, focused on character story arcs, role-play and progression. Along with impactful choices to the story and a gritty sense of ambiance and survival in the West. The campaign’s tiers of play will be Levels (1-8), as this world has no world ending threats; however there is an adult dragon that no one messes with, including rather deadly animals, a powerful government and the rival gang that seems to further grow into a problem. With the setting being in the Wild West, for ease of use, armor will simply carry the same effects but will look however you wish. Medieval weapons will be replaced with Old West firearms and weapons that fit into the setting. If you have a request, please feel free to ask! Magic is real in this adventure but with the level cap, it will keep magic humble and keep it from breaking the immersion of the Wild West. Including the Gods of The Forgotten Realms that oversee the world. All races are allowed in this setting, unless it’s extremely exotic then just ask to see if it’ll work. A tielflng with a cigar and cowboy hat? Go for it! It’s highly encouraged to create a backstory for your character involving joining Dutch’s gang, what they did before, what happened to them and possibly why they are wanted by the Law. I will absolutely help you create your backstory and give you ideas, as well create NPC’s for your character to latch on to such as a childhood friend or a love interest! Each player will create their own horse before the game, it can be any horse in our world, as this animal will be their starting steed throughout the Campaign! Saddle Up!
