As the title states, I am looking for a single player to join my existing group of 5 in my D&D 5e homebrew setting. This is a futuristic post apocalyptic world known as Exordium (see more about the world below) We play bi-weekly on Mondays @ 7pm central via Foundry VTT Current group is made up of: 1. I will be happy to answer any additional questions Exordium is the first world. Thriving with life and energy, it is known for its beauty and technological advancements. Its landmass is like that of Pangea or a supercontinent. The occupants of this world have discovered, built, and grown remarkably. The perfect world! Well at least that's what most of today's history books will tell about life before the event of "The Red Comet" About a millennium ago, everything changed on Exordium! As the comet approached its mark, the sky turned red. Smaller fragments of the comet struck first destroying entire cities on impact. They even caused natural disasters such as tsunamis and quakes that brought destruction. This alone killed millions but was only the beginning. When the comet made impact in the middle of nowhere, it brought with it annihilation on a global scale as it managed to end more than 50% of Exordium's population. By some unknown means, there were actually survivors and what seemed to be no traces of the Red Comet. However, the comet didn't just bring destruction; it also seemed to have changed the world and its inhabitants. It brought new life, changed existing life in different ways, and though it would be discovered some hundreds of years later it also brought MAGIC! After the event, no ones was sure how to live on. There were those who simple thought they would rebuild and make things better then they were. Some believed this happened for a reason and it was the planets way of saving itself and believed they should respect its wishes. Other believed this was the chance to forget the past and rules and live as they wished to live. More so, there were those who believed only the Gods could lead them. Then, there were the few who didn't have any major thoughts or reasoning or just had mixed feeling on others opinion and simply want to move on with what was left of their lives. These ideas are what made Exordium what it is today. New leaders were chosen and the people ventured out to see what was left of the world. These decisions would lead to the birth of 5 new nations. • Omega Republic - Ω • Alpha Dynasty - A • The Nu Kingdom - N • Republic of Pi - Π • Mu Dynasty - M However, it wouldn't be the destruction of the comet that finally split the people of Exordium to form new nations but the benefits that came with it. The people begin to discover how the comet evolved some of the planets plants and animals. They also slowly discovered new species. Some of these evolutions and new species showed man that they were not longer alone at the top of the food chain. The discovery that really truly divided these nations and started to bring war and blood shed was the "Red Powder" also known as Comet Dust. A few centuries after the Red Comet event, scientist discovered a red dust that had a shine about it and was other worldly. There was no trace of the Red Comet because it seems to have changed and merged with Exordium. The survivors of the event gathered that this had something to do with their survival and all the changes to the planet. As they started studying this red powder, they discovered its implications were unlimited. Every nation want to get their hands on it and as much of it as they could leading to war.
