Each individual forum page is sorted by newest post first (after pinned threads of course).  If you mean the overview that shows a few threads from each forum, I don't think there is.  It seems to display threads based mostly on age of the original post, but I'm not sure that is all that goes into choosing what displays there.

I use the All Topics  link at the top of the forum overview page. Technically, I have bookmarked the forums I am most interested in , excluding looking for game/group, and suggestions forums. These will be sorted in order of the most recent response. Threads with new posts will be marked as such.
