Does buying the books not give me NPC sheets automatically?

Do I really have to fill out each monster stat manually when I bought the damn book on roll 20?
What book(s) did you buy and which NPCs are you trying to use?
I just bought the Monsters of the Multiverse book from D&D. All the tokens are there but not their NPC sheets.
How are you trying to access the NPC character sheets? Are you pulling them from the compendium? I don’t own MotM on Roll20, but for other compendium items I pull one out onto the VTT, then the character appears in the journal and it’s filled out there. If you explain the exact steps you are taking to get an NPC from MotM, it will help diagnose how to access the character sheets.

If you click on the compendium entry, t takes you to the compendium page. If you drag the compendium entry onto your table, it will import all the stats. If it isn't, give me an example creature to try.
I'll get back to you both in a bit, have to eat. But what I have done is addon the book which give me the book and the tokens but not library npc sheets

Hi TimeTimesandhalf, Monsters of the Multiverse comes with a compendium entry. To enable the compendium entry please do the following: 1) go to your game's Campaign Details page. You can do this by going to https://roll20.net/welcome and then clicking the name of your game (do not click Launch Game). 2) Click Settings, then Game Settings 3) Click on Compendium Settings. 4) Make sure the Compendium is set for D&D 5th Edition. 5) Make sure Mordenkainen Presents - Monsters of the Multiverse is turned on (is green). 6) Save the Compendium Settings 7) Save Changes at the bottom of the page. It should now be in your game. You can search the compendium and drag the monsters to your table.
If I'm reading this correctly, TimeTimesandhalf is expecting all the NPCs sheets to exist in the Journal from the get-go (as with prepared modules that already have maps and NPCs ready to go). As others have stated, to have ALL the creatures in MOTM in your Journal, you will need to drag them onto the table. However, you really don't need to do that for every single NPC. Instead, pull them from the Compendium when you need them.
Make sure you have the 5e character sheet selected for the game as well.
Thank you all, it is fixed now. I did not have the Dnd 5th edition enabled for my game all the way.
