The motley crew took horses to the Inn and settled down for some ale and stew. They noticed they were being intently watched by what appeared to be some guards and another group of merchants. The group of guards comes by and their leader, Ali, demanded that we sell him our female party members. That just wasn't going to happen. Severos and the others attempted to intimidate the group but failed miserably, leading to a bloody attack. Our crew managed to inflict severe damage to a few of the guards causing a bit of disarray. The bartender eventually asks Ali and his gang to leave to no avail. Jir-El who had been quite offended by the whole affair managed to get off a double shot Killing Ali. The rest of the gang begged off, calling Ali a fool. We allow them to dispose of the bodies and leave in peace. The merchants who had been hiding in the corner buy us all drinks and wonderful lamb steak. Quite a treat. We search Ali and discover a Golden Chalice (55GP) and 25SP on the various dead bodies. Cozen waives off his share of the treasure. We decide we will eventually split 4 way between myself, Jir-El, Lothar and Coran. We rest at the Inn for the night. I would say we had a very restful night, that is except Corzan and Lothar who spent the night with the local tavern wenches. The next morning the bar tender tells us of local rumour regarding a strange beast with the head and legs of a bull and arms of a man with a mighty axe. Coran has heard of this himself, there is a legend of a labyrinth where maidens are sacrificed to a minotaur. The bar tender carries on, "Giant kings left behind strange experiments, and this might be one of them..." The crew say their farewells, gather the horses and head into the foothills. On the 3rd day of adventure, they slow the horses for in the distance they hear a piercing shriek. A 4 legged minotaur is carrying a girl, galloping towards us. He stops and snarls at the group. We dismount. Coran charges and then dismounts, attacking with his long spear and inflicts serious damage causing the minotaur to flee. A bit taken by surprise, the party goes after the minotaur but are a bit behind. Lothar is the first to catch up and gets kicked aside. I had been trying to catch up but was stuck for a bit. I finally catch up and join the attack. The minotaur seeing my approach does a horn rush and knocks me prone. Lothar rushes to the rescue, hitting and killing the minotaur before it could do any more harm. The girl immediately rushes over and asks us to save her from the merchants who had held her as a slave. Lothar manages to calm her down and loot the minotaur. Severos ask if he can have the mighty axe as it is his best weapon of choice. We also manage to find a magnifying glass . Coran tries his hands at surgical instruments to patch up Severos. The party manage to get a short rest. At the end of the rest the party can see the caravan in the distance. The girl begs, "please don't return me.". Having no need for the services of a caravan, the party decide to avoid the carvan and make off on a diversion. The make good time and distance from the caravan and camp for the night. On day 4 ,, the party climbed up into the mounatisn. The slave girl explains the journey ahead with Luna. As we continue the climb it continues to get cold and windy. Seferos, born in the warmer climate is starting to get chilly. On day 5 , the party headed for a mountain pass. A man steps out of the bushes, "Hi friends, these are my lands you are passing through..." as he clutches his scimitar, Lothar looks closely at the surrounding area and notices a rustle in the bushes, revealing 6 armed men and more on a cliff with bows. After some very poor negotiating, Severos agrees to pay the fee of 1 GP each. Once we paid and started to move, it became clear that many more were hidden and we were wise to avoid the ambush. The party continues on following a lane through an eastern ravine. On day 6, Luna is studying the records of the parents looking for a mountain pass with natural columns. Lothar helps find the hidden gorge just before nightfall. We camp in the ravine and just manage to get a tent up to avoid the impact of freezing rain. On day 7 , the party continue on their journey. At noon we come across a valley and notice the gleam of stone works on the other side. We head that way through the eerie, birdless swamp. Thhen we notice something enormous further int he swamp. We move single file towards it. We then manage to get a glimpse of a massive bovine. It is vastly larger than the minotaur that we has assumed was the beast at large...this Tauren was 18ft-20ft tall with clawed fists. It was clearly hostile. Jir-El wasted no time and managed a shot, only to miss. Lothar charges with his lance for a nice hit. Coran joins in from a distance, landing another blow. Severos couldn't quite get there but he readied his newfound axe. The Tauren let loose a mighty Stomp Attack hitting Severos, Lothar and the horse. Severos tried to land a blow but failed. Corzan also misses. The Tauren lets loose his next Bull Fist Strike, going after Lothar. Lothar is knocked down and is dying. The horse tries to attack and Severos manages a hit. The Tauren goes for his next Hoof Kick attack going after Severos who had just hit him. Severos is knocked out and is sent flying far away. Luna is quick to try to save Severos. She manages to find his healing potion and makes him take a drink. Coran has been saving up his best attack and hits for a massive blow. The Tauren is badly damaged. Everyone starts to go after the obviously wounded Tauren. The Tauren evades and Coran follows. The Tauren goes for a Massive Fist attack and dazes Coran. Lothhar manages to come to. The horse attacks and obviously distracts that Tauren who is quickly hit in the throat and in the eye with a double shot from Jir-El. It falls over and dies. The party is a bit disappointed in only finding an ear stud worth 9CP. Jir-El and Coran decide to compensate by taking a horn each as a trophy . The party manage to get in a long rest and head back to town.
