Hi all! My group is looking for someone willing to DM a D&D 5e homebrew of their choosing/creation, to start the beginning of June, as our current campaign will end in about 2 weeks. It should be able to last about a year or so. The thought is that it should close out around the same time D&D One is released, as we'd like to buy the books and swap over to enjoy the new stuff. Basic logistics: The game would have to take place at 2000 GMT Saturdays (that's 8pm GMT, 3pm EST, 12pm PST). We typically run for 4 solid hours, as well, so do keep that in mind. We use roll20, Dndbeyond, and Discord, so hopefully your campaign is on roll20. We all have fair to great audio setups. No real concerns at all with that. We also have good mic etiquette (typically muting ourselves when needed). About us: We're 5 gentlemen, 4 from Europe and 1 from California. The 4 lads have played together since they were kids. 2 are brothers. Our American friend joined a bit over 4 years ago and we've completed two long campaigns in that time. In fact, this would be the first time we all get to be players, as the Euro-4 are all DMs and have been responsible for creating the campaigns we've played together. We're all adults over 30 and 3 have families, so maturity is abound. We're very open, accepting, and what I'd call liberal in our worldly thinking. Please be the same. No reason to bring toxicity to the table. We're essentially a group of great friends and, ideally, would love to add you to it! Our playstyle: As much as we love combat, we're also VERY big on roleplay. We will absolutely make fun of each other and sometimes press the shiny button for laughs. We like to challenge situations and try our best to be creative. We've laughed, cried, and yelled at each other in character, but we never hold a grudge. Everything we do, even if it's ridiculous, will have some legitimately plausible, in-character reason. Though we do try our best to be by the rules and hold ourselves and each other accountable (we're only human and will make mistakes), sometimes the rule of cool is way better. Cause story! The ONLY rule that is not breakable is that everyone in the group is allowed to have a Staff of the Magi, except Jeff. Never Jeff. About you: Creative, chill, matching who we are as people and players. Hopefully your campaign is on roll20. You will for sure need to use Discord for audio. Bring your craziest, funnest, whatever you want! Aside from the fairly typical lines (like unnecessarily graphic explanations/pictures of murder and sex, etc), we're down with whatever the story demands. We hope you can laugh with us and really enjoy the game we all create together! If you're interested: Post an reply below with a bit about yourself and an idea of the campaign you may want to run.
