Hello! I am currently looking for more players for an upcoming campaign I am starting, The Ironfang Invasion AP for 1st Edition Pathfinder. Basic Information Game: Pathfinder: Ironfang Invasion Play Time: Sunday, 7 - 11 PM EST, Start Date is TBD, hope by May 7th at the earliest for a session zero. System: Pathfinder 1st Edition GM Experience: Moderate Requirements: Working Mic and Discord Players: 5 to 6 players in total (4/6 slots currently available) Age Restriction: Prefer 18+, open to younger though see content warning below. Background The small town of Phaendar, located on the borders of the free nation of Nirmathas, is currently enjoying the festivities of its annual harvest festival. What would have turned into a small gathering for traders, farmers, and other folk becomes wholesale slaughter, however, when a sudden attack on the town by an army of hobgoblins and their allies threaten to destroy everything in its wake. Now, the survivors of Phaendar must find out what these invaders, known as the Ironfang Legion, want, and figure out how to stop them before they engulf the entire region for themselves. A story of wilderness survival, warfare, politics and more await you, as you ready yourself against the Legion and their relentless forces. Be warned, however, as nothing is as it seems as the war rages. The question is, can you survive the Ironfang Invasion? Details The adventure path, which came out in 2017, is basically a war campaign with sections broken down into multiple parts. The first books focus heavily on survival and simulate a survival situation, where resources such as food need to be tracked. The campaign also uses a militia component that can be utilized by the players to help them gain an advantage against the Ironfang Legion if they so choose. It should be noted, the second half of the module does focus on more traditional dungeon delving and exploration, but overall this is mostly going to be a wilderness-style survival campaign with several elements of war attached. You will be role-playing a lot more when we begin to get to levels 7-8 of the campaign, though the aspects of war will not go away and combat will sometimes be heavy. This campaign is also not an easy one, and death may come easy. As a GM, I tend not to pull punches in that regard, so consider every resource you have before engaging the enemy, if you're able to. Player Expectations All player types are welcome. The early parts of the game will be combat-heavy, and puzzles exist but are minimal. There will be multiple points for actual role-play. However, in the early levels, those opportunities to role-play will be a bit more minimal. I am relatively open to most character and class types, so long as they are not third-party additions. I do plan on doing a session 0 to set up campaign expectations, go through character concepts, answer any questions players may have, and even set the stage on things. Familiarity with the Pathfinder setting is not needed for the campaign, though I will be using it from time to time to enhance the experience as best I can. Content Warning The campaign can get a bit dark with certain subject matters. The following are some of the things that will be encountered in the campaign for reference. Slavery and the use of slavery Prejudice and forms of racism War and post-traumatic stress Alcoholism and drug use Heavy use of politics If anyone is interested in the campaign, please do not hesitate to contact me, through a reply on this thread, or directly as a private message. We will be playing the game on Discord and using Roll20. My discord name is Robert Grosso#6839 Thank you, hope to hear from you.
