[LFP] Veteran DM LF players to start 5E Module

Howdy! DM Here currently looking for a group of players (probably no more than 5) to start a 5E module. Can be short or long campaign! My only two I would prefer not to run would be Curse of Strahd and Lost Mines of Phandelver since I'm currently in a 1.5 year CoS campaign and just finished LMOP. Got tons of compendiums, supplements and always interested in adding to the collection! Experience: Been playing on Roll20 for close to 2 years now and have DM'd on here as well as a few one shots in person with friends. Like to find a healthy balance of RP and fun as well as rewarding combat. Currently looking for 4-5 folks to join up and start fresh. Am 32, live in the US with a wife and a dog. Time(s)/Logistics: Ideally would be Friday or Saturday and no more than 5 hours. We could start around 6 to 8 PM CST range . Totally cool with rotating days or being flexible. Would probably meet once every 2-3 weeks but if we are hitting our stride we could always shorten the gap in meet up times. Probably would use discord to chat as it lets us use channels for pictures, resources and better voice connection/output. You can reply here but also I think it will be beneficial to tell me a bit about yourself, what you are looking for in a campaign and just anything else you think would be important!
I'd be interested! 42F with 2 adult kiddos and 2 chihuahua kiddos in the US as well. I have 5E experience, online and in person. I like RP and combat both, balance is always good, but also looking to make new friends and have fun. I've played CoS and LMoP but also Hoard of the Dragon Queen and part of Out of the Abyss. I ran Dragons of Icespire Peak. But I'll be honest, some of them its been so long, I probably couldn't even give a brief synopsis of the story line, its the jokes and shenanigans that I remember more. So I would be up for playing anything with a fun group of people.
I'd like to join in on this, but only if its fridays, as i work saturdays from 12pm to 7pm central time. im an experienced 5e player who is looking for a good long term game to join. as for games to run, id be down with something like tyranny of dragons or icewind dale, or even something original if you feel up to it. just know during character creation, i like being creative and work with my dm for characters, be it using just core stuff or homebrew, but only as a race. discord is how i do my voice chats for playing, just no video chats. if you are interested in having me, feel free to message me on discord at Makedus#2785
Sounds great you two! I will message after a bit of a delay on this thread so we can gather more folks/I can find some more. I'm not against Homebrew either! Just depends what we all want!
Hello there! I'm interested as well. You can add me in discord Kritous#5382 and we can chat more about it. Fridays would be great for this. I'm kind of new to DnD and this kind of games, but I'm super down to learning and creating a fun atmosphere.
Hi Tartaglia and others, I would be interested. 54 year old, male elementary teacher in St. Paul, Minnesota. Old school gamer updated to 5e. Run afterschool fantasy role playing groups as forever DM. I play in an inperson group that meets every other Saturday, but only scratches the D&D itch. Discord is Sepp#6188

I'm greatly interested in this as well. Since everyone else is sharing, I'm a 35 male, married but no kids. Usually a DM , but eager to be a player as it's been years and I have so many unused character ideas floating around. I enjoy both RP and fun battles, and can tailor my playstyle to suit those that I'm with. I personally enjoy making moves/plays that my character would, even if i as a player know it not to be the best option. I'm not a power gamer or min-maxer by default, but I am also willing to fill any role that might need to be filled. Consider myself very flexible in that regard. Overall, I'm just looking for something fun, with fun people. A nice mix if goofing off and serious. Funnily, I have never played or ran an official module. Always homebrewed stuff, so this would be an exciting change as I know nothing about them. Have a history of Warhammer, Path Finder and D&D games. Not meeting every week actually works well for me with my work schedule, which has me with ample free time every other week. If a spot us still open, I'm on discord at KyrilSolin#8745 PS: I typed this at 4am on my phone, as I work overnights, so please forgive and ignore any typos or oddities.
Hi Hi, Boo here. 25 y/o trans woman and hairdresser in training. I've only ever played homebrew content, my own fault really, but I wanted to give a premade format a try. As far as those go I'm completely blind. I've played DnD for over 6 years now, GMd for 4 of those. My specialy as far as DnD is concerned is world building. I like asking questions about the world. I love exploring the inner workings of society in a fantasy setting. Basically imagine trying to figure out how our world would work and function if we had fantasy elements. How magic would be implemented? What resources would be considered valuable? Cultural differences between sentient races? Politics as a result? What industries would suffer or benefit? In that sense I suppose world building is the most important aspect for me. I enjoy RP and combat. But for me what sells a campaign is understading the world and being able to fit myself or my character into it. As far as characters are concerned, I tend to make juxtaposing characters. Classes, races, backgrounds with obvious cliches turned on their heads. Illeterate mages, Barbarian chefs, introverted bards, scientific clerics, body building halflings and stealthy giant minotaurs. There's a certain charm to watching a massive brick s**t house of a barbarian delicately handling bouquets. If you want to talk to me on discord: BooBerry#8549
i would like to join, Ive been Playing and Dming for over 5+ years when i managed to convert my friend group to DND on a random night where it was brought up and i improved a session for them of 5e.tools to give them a "little taste of the glory" and have been making great memories ever since, Played through Tomb of annihilation for about 1-2 years, my good friends homebrew was a 2 year adventure, and am currently running Strahd at my FLGS as a weekly AL format, as well as playing in my other friends Homebrew. but we are meeting only about 1-2 a month on that game so i am looking for something to play weekly or bi weekly to fill the gap. My Strahd campaign is every wed. evening. otherwise Im free most week days after 6pm PST, Fridays would work as well as most days but Wed and Sat. In a campaign i like a balance of RP and Combat, i play warhammer so combat always scratches that Itch, but ive been more into a 50/50 of RP and Combat in my campaign. And working hard on my note taking. Otherwise just looking for fellow peoples to play pretend and get out of my head and into a new character.
Seems like we have critical mass. Here is a link to a doodle to find optimum times. Don't mean to be stepping on your toes Tartaglia, let me know if I took too much initiative. https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/bqlmjNpa
