Charactermancer Not Allowing to Select New Spells

The Charactermancer will not allow new spells to be selected on the level up screen.  It just freezes up completely and won't let you click on anything, including on the cancel button.  You have to go to a new screen and then cancel.  I have tried with other characters, with making new characters, and it is the same issue.
