Fog of War not working for Menace Under Otari dungeon maps

[EDIT] [FIXED] Sometimes you have to manually turn on the Fog of War from the specific page/module's settings. - Click the gear icon on the specific page you want fixed and scroll down - You'll eventually find an option that allows you to enable/disable the fog of war - Turn it on and it should work I recently purchased a bundle which has the Pathfinder Beginner's Box. While trying to setup the game Menace Under Otari which is included in the Beginner's Box, I noticed that I can't get the Fog of War to work on the dungeon maps. I do have the fog of war enabled in the game settings. The game comes with a map of Otari, a cover art for the Beginner's Box, and maps for each level of the dungeon. I can somehow enable fog of war on the cover art and whole map of Otari but I can't for some reason get it to work on the dungeon maps. I tried using the Reset Fog button or manually hiding the areas but no matter what I do the fog of war doesn't show up. When I rejoin as player the fog still isn't there and I can see the entire map with all the enemy tokens. I noticed that it also doesn't show up when I duplicate the map. I have to manually create a new map and re-add all the assets by hand just for the FOW to work. Surely there has to be a better/faster way of doing this?

Hi 8BitCardinal! Unfortunately I don't have a way to test this to replicate. I would suggest filing a Help Center Request , and give them the URL of the game so they can investigate what's going on. Please post back here with whatever you find out, so that others with the same issue might benefit.

Hello again! I think I have discovered the issue and a workaround. Normally, if you start revealing areas on a new map, the App will ask you if you want to turn Fog of War on. Modules that have Dynamic Lighting as a feature ship with the pages Dynamic Lighting-ready, but disabled on a free account. The auto-logic that asks if you would like to turn FoW on when you start revealing doesn't (at the moment) know how to account for that. The solution (in my testing) is pretty straightforward, though. Open the page settings for that page and explicitly turn on Fog of War. It then works normally.
@keithcurtis. I just tested out your solution and it works! Sadly I read the comment after dedicating time to copy everything to a different page. Thankfully it didn't take that long. I appreciate the time and effort you took to figuring it out. I did in fact try to tweak the specific module's settings to see if I can change anything. However, I didn't know that there are more options if you scroll down. I just started using this app and I'm still figuring things out so it's good to know.
Hey 8BitCardinal, Thank you for asking that question. We have created a ticket for the issue that you both found and we'll try to get that fixed when we can (No guarantees on the timeline). Also, I'd love to chat with you about your experience as a new user on Roll20. It will help give me a much needed perspective that is often hard to see. If you're willing, here's a link that you can use to schedule a time that is best for you. https://calendly.com/acsearles/customer-interview Thanks again! You help make Roll20 better.
