Without the API you cannot automate critical rolls. However, what some of us use (for 3.X/PF) is (example uses 1d8 weapon with a x3 multiplier): Attack: [[1d20+modifiers]] Crit: [[19+modifiers]] Confirm [[1d20+modifiers]] Damage [[1d8+modifiers]] on Confirm [[2d8+modifiers*2]] If the attack equals or exceeds the crit value then you crit and proceed to confirm. Then we total the damage and confirmation damage manually.
There's no macro ability to highlight or define critical ranges. One suggestion is to have you macro work like this: Longsword attack [[1d20+5]] Critical: [[19+5]] The second line is there to basically show what the roll will look like if it is a crit. So if your range is 19, then that means 19 plus whatever your bonus is, will be the displayed value on a critical roll. If the two match, it's a crit.
ahh... I see what you did there..its like a post it...thats actually useful..thank you!
