TeamSpeak

When Brandon was having staying logged in to chat in Roll20, Google+, and Skype, I wasn't certain that using a different program for chat would help, unfortunately. Well, TeamSpeak seemed to work for him. We used it for a session and I don't think he ever dropped. There was some echo at times, but nothing too severe. Like Brandon, while in Illinois, I have a satellite Internet connection. Also like Brandon, chat is almost impossible for me. In fact, my connection is even worse. However, I tested TeamSpeak with Chris last night while discussing the upcoming session and it seemed to work just fine for me here in Illinois as well. So, right now, it seems like there will be no more typing no matter where I'm at. Typing was really a drag. I was to the place where I would have canceled or even quit playing on Roll20 rather than went through that again. If you don't have TeamSpeak, it's a small download: http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads You just click connect at the top left, then type in the server address, which is an IP number. I don't want to publish the server address here. Get it while in-game. I think only Maelstrom still needs TeamSpeak. Can't remember if Leo was on with us that night or not.
Whoo! Go TeamSpeak!
So, I guess it was a one-time thing. Both times I've tried it with Chris since then has been a failure. I have no alternatives at this time, but I will not run another game without chat.
