15 years ago, the Duchy of Ber was host to an outbreak of dangerous undead. The Old Duke was unfortunately quickly lost to the outbreak, however the new Duke, Duke Tergum, with a nameless deity by his side, was able to reduce the spread of the undead. Thanks to Duke Tergum's extensive reforms, as well as the help of the nameless deity, the undead within the Duchy have been prevented from spreading further. The same cannot be said for the neighboring countries who have had recent outbreaks of their own. Whether you're a local adventurer, a foreign agent, or anything in between,   having  searched and exhausted all other solo methods, you've gathered with others like you to discuss what to do about the undead.  Howdy folks, we've got a heavily homebrewed game with a reworked combat system and a grittier fantasy tone and are looking for some extra players to join. Combat will be more brutal than standard 5e, but still without excess gore. We prefer to give the players a lot of agency and impact in the narrative so where the campaign ends up going will be up to ya'll.  The Meat and Potatoes: Variant rules for  Encumbrance, Spell Points, Marking, Massive Damage, Cleaving , Healing Surge, Healer's Kit  Dependency,  and  Slow Natural Healing,  are enabled with some revisions to better mesh together.  Additionally the variant rule  Plot Points  options 1&2 have been enabled to assist you all both in guiding the narrative, as well possibly giving assistance in or out of combat.  Finally, we have basically rebuilt how attacks and armor work from the ground up. The aim being to increase the impactfulness of build options without adding to much felt complexity in actual combat.  Other Details: PCs will be level 3  We'll play on Roll20 with Discord voice. Session zero will be on Sunday, June 11th at 5:30 EST Sessions will most likely be 3-5 hours on average. We'll be inviting 2-3 more people to our discord for the game. Interested?
