Ability for GM to emote or chat as multiple NPCs on the fly?

I have been able to go into the preferences and change the name of the NPC that chat displays as a GM. However, is it possible to chat/emote as different NPCs on the fly? In other words when I want the Bartender to say something in chat, instead of going to prefs, change the GM name to Bartender then type the emote/text, to just type something like "/npc Bartender; Welcome to my establishment!" I searched through docs for something like this and didn't see anything. Is it assumed that folks will be doing all the RP over voice chat? As my group likes to RP via chat (mainly so they can have chat logs to reference later) this capability would be really nice to have.
There should be a drop-down box the to left of the chat box which lets you pick from any Character that you have defined in the Characters/Journals tab. Let me know if you need more info.
That is exactly what I was looking for! Many thanks!
I came into this thread thinking something holly different than what it was actually about. Could the /em tool be changed in a way to where you could add multiple people at once with one emote? Say, for instance you type /em Bob Turner Jeremy Fisher instead of just /em [your emote here] it would display something like: "Bob Turner and Jeremy Fisher both let out surprised gasps at the unveiling of the killer." I think that'd be neat.
