[DND5e] [LFP] [LFDM] [18+] Players not terribly experienced with 5e looking for a player and a DM

About Us: We're a group of 5 middle aged internet friends who have much more enthusiasm than experience, but we're excited to learn! It's not likely to be a particularly sexy game, but we're all prolific swearers and have somewhat warped senses of humor. Our Experience: Two of us have only played single short campaigns, two of us haven't played in a very long time, and one of us knows the earlier editions better than 5e. What We're Looking For: Inclusive, fun, patient folks to round out our group. We're thinking of a Ravenloft setting, partly because the Mists are a handy device to deal with someone being absent from the group but all such decisions are obviously up to the DM. We'll be focused a bit more on the story and RP. Schedule: The time that has lined up best for us so far is Saturday early afternoons, Eastern Time.

Hi! If you don't mind taking on a TTRPG beginner (with a ton of CRPG/MMORPG experience, some familiarity with 5e rules, and a background in narrative game design), your group sounds like just what I'm looking for!  I, too, am a prolific swearer. My friends think I'm hilarious, my enemies don't exist because I'm both hilarious and friendly (and modest!). But really, I would love to join you!  I'm up for any class/character type that would complement the existing characters well, though I typically lean good/neutral (though not necessarily lawful). I'm running on central time so there's only an hour difference. Down to play whatever you might need, I've gotten very used to my IRL group that consists of friends and family, we play every other saturday in late afternoon so I may have a cut off time. If that's fine with you I can play any class or role needed.
