Using module-specific maps in an ongoing campaign

Hi, I'm currently running Tomb Of Annihilation for a group of friends. The map I'm using for the hexcrawl is the standard player map, which has a lot of white space which is meant to be uncovered hex by hex as they travel. They've started to enter these areas, so now I need to begin revealing hexes they travel through. My first idea was to cover the DM's full map with deletable hexes or fog of war, but this is very labour intensive and uncovering hexes doesn't work well for fog of war. I'm thinking of getting the Roll20 bundle to obtain the full map with removable hexes to make life easier, but would I be able to integrate the map into my current campaign? Or would I have to start the game over as far as Roll20 is concerned? As it's a Roll20-only bundle and can't be downloaded, I'm not sure whether it would work. Thanks!

Hi Christine,  I am a bit confused by your post. I am also running ToA and it is a simple matter to click on a white hex that you click on then delete. Or are you not using the ToA module and are asking about purchasing it?  Regarding Fog of War, yes you can uncover hexes by using the Polygon remove tool.

So, it sounds like you set up the map yourself with artwork from outside Roll20, but now you'd like to use the Roll20 version, but without recreating your whole campaign in a new game based off the module. There is a way to accomplish that with a Pro Subscription, which is to create a second game using the module, then use the Transmogrifier tool to copy pages out of the module and into your game.  (or to copy your game elements into the module game).  That would require you to bump up your subscription for a month, but it's going to be the easiest option. At the Plus level, you'd need to make the new game and manually recreate your campaign in it.
With PRO Subscription you could use the Transmogrifier and just copy Maps from one game to another... without it, what you want to do is impossible I am afraid... Many Roll20 products offer Map Pack addons, which allow you to add all of the maps and dynamic lighting to an existing campaign (without any of the adventure content). Unfortunately, it looks like ToA is old enough that it did not receive that treatment. It might be work filing a  Help Center Request  to put the bug into the ear of Roll20, that people would like this and would buy it.
