Hey everyone I'm new to the DnD community but I have been constructing a DnD 5E campaign for 9 months now. I plan to go live with my trial runs in Sept. I have dumped hundreds of hours into making it and I'm excited to share it with others. Below I will list all the details of my campaign in a bulletin format. Story This is a sandbox type adventure that is comprised of many different movie monsters that can interact with one another and/or change the outcome of the story based on the decision's of the adventuring party. Some movie monsters will be made inaccessible based on the choices that are made. Composition- Strong to moderate role playing, moderate combat, and moderate adventuring. Battles/ Encounters Fighting will be done primary with miniatures and dioramas that I painted and made on a Livestream platform. We will use the in game tokens to track spells used and hit points. I have painted alot of miniatures so there will be a huge diversity of of creatures to fight. There will be live Tarantulas as rare spawn bosses as well. I designed their terrariums to mimic the DnD world. I will also integrate the DnD 4e skill challenge mechanics along with my Escape Scenario mechanics for in game encounters as alternative options. Adventuring Adventuring will be primarily done with maps I made on both dungeondraft and dungeon alchemist. Small scale outdoor exploration will be made with dungeondraft maps. Dungeons, buildings, and towns will be made with dungeon alchemist The travel segments will be done with Regional/ World maps of faerun. I only have 125 maps made so far I will need 153 more before my game is ready. This is the main reason my game will not be live until September. Adventuring will also be done using dioramas I made that will be used alongside a rolling webcam mount that I TIG welded together for a 1st person environment exploration experience. I will be TIG welding more webcam mounts to further diversify the adventure portion of the game. Character sheets I have a bias towards Roll20's charactermancer tool so I have purchased alot of their marketplace items to better facilitate this feature in my games. Other options can be used but this is my preference. Warnings I'm a brand new DM. This will be my first time DMing so my inexperience may be obvious. I have read both the DM module and Player handbook multiple times now but that doesn't compensate for experience. This game may be perceived as dark, vulgar, and/or inappropriate to others so I ask for 18+ players only. Players start at lvl 5 This game will be very realistic. I.E. if you play a drow elf your character will likely be discriminated against by sun elf NPC's to maintain the DnD world realism. You the player however will not be discriminated against in anyway. I'm very accepting of others with the exception of people that merge into traffic without using blinkers, You know who you are... I'm considering integrating a "sacrifice" mechanic so the party can democratically get rid of problematic players who ruin the game for everyone else. Simultaneously rewarding them with buffs in the next session. This will be combined with possible "tavern days" for people who want to dress up in live chat and have a hand in helping pick the next party member although I will probably choose the pool of players to pick from. If no one is down for this I'll just pick someone. It'll be fun either way. Availability I already have alot of people who interested in joining my game but I can only host 5 players. This will not be first come first serve. I will have to think long and hard about who can join this first game. I would prefer newer players so we can learn and grow together. If you want to DM me about a spot in my game please send me the following information. Character information- Class, Subclass, (Character's personal information. Not your IRL information. I.E. characters race, sex, age, gender, ECT...) Background story- This is very important. Remember this is >OUR< interactive story. Other people will get the spotlight in sessions. Some days the monster will get the spotlight. In the end it ultimately boils down to a roll of the dice. We will continue our conversation from there if room is available or if the party decides to use the "sacrifice" mechanic listed above in the warning section lol
