Text elements formatting inconsistently in handouts & character bios

I'm having some issues formatting text elements in my handouts and other journal entries. When I paste a block of formatted text into a handout and press save, the formatting seems to retain the typeface and styling as intended. However, when I paste the same formatted text into a character bio and press save, the formatting seems to revert to a separate (I imagine default) typeface. I'm not very well versed in using the F12 inspector to modify text elements directly and trying to follow some older instructions posted here has left me admittedly more confused than when I began. I also considered that this inconsistency was a local issue but I've tested the same text and handouts on one of my player's pc and account and got the same result. As there any way to make my handouts and character bios identical? Attached is a side by side comparison of both. I'd like them to both have the sans serif font shown in the Handout Test. Thanks!

Hi Antonio,  The text editor is pretty unsophisticated and doesn't allow you to select font. My suggestion to get them to look the same is to use Ctrl+Shift+V when pasting. That will strip out the formatting.

The text editor is HTML-based, like a web page. Whenever you copy information from another source, if it has formatting of any complexity it can interact poorly. HTML codes are invisible on a browser, so you never know when copying if you are pulling in code that is giving conflicting instructions. You can even see this to a lesser degree in normal RTF-based text editors like MS Word. Your best bet is to do as Gauss suggests and always do a clean paste. If you are pasting into a handout that looks blank, but once had text in it, always select all and hit the backspace/delete key a few times to make sure it is really empty. On the rare occasions that Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-V does not work properly, try running your text through a simple text editor that lacks formatting entirely, such as Notepad or BBEdit (Mac).

Hmm, I appreciate the insight. It seems Ctrl+Shift+V and running my text through notepad are both giving me the same results. I've also been using brand new handouts every time I paste text and test. No matter what the Character Bio always ends up displaying the same serif font as shown in the previously attached screenshots. Interestingly the "GM Notes (Only visible to GM)" portion of each handout is also displaying differently so I'm really at a loss. Is the default typeface assigned for Character entries just a completely different font than whatever is default for Handouts across the board?

Update: It seems the issue has something to do with the in-game Dark-Mode switch. I was watching this guide video and realized the sample character bio is using a sans-serif font. Hopped over to my game and switched off Dark-Mode and the typeface changed. I guess this is simply a bug with dark-mode?
The problem is with dark mode

It does appear that Dark Mode Bio & Info tabs are using different display definitions in edit and display modes, different from handouts, but more similar to the forums. Yes, this is likely an oversight somewhere. I can't offhand think of a reason for it.

Thanks for looking into this, I'm likely going to be switching back to light-mode for the time being, but I very much appreciate you trying to help!

Based on testing, but pending some questions asked of Those Who Know Things: The combination of the fonts Proxima Nova /Nunito is imposed by the app and displays on handouts and any character journal bio in edit mode , but all of the display modes for character journals are dictated by the designer of the individual sheet . Thus: Either sheet in edit mode: Proxima Nova and Nunito PF2 Character Journal in Display, light or dark: Helvetica Neue 5e in Display Mode/Dark: Tiamat Text 5e in Display Mode/Light: Helvetica Neue All Handouts Light or Dark, edit or display: Proxima Nova and Nunito Forums  Light or Dark, edit or display: Proxima Nova and Nunito   This is likely so that a game company can have character sheet bios that match their branding (Tiamat Text is a WotC house font), but that things outside the control of the sheet designer (the Roll20 app) follow the Roll20 branding of  Proxima Nova and Nunito.

On the official D&D character sheet, e.g. features and traits become serife as well.
Exactly... and this (and the fact that there are still sheets that do not have a dark mode adaption) is the reason why I still use light mode in VTT while using dark mode for the rest of Roll20 (Light mode here really hurts my eyes)...
