Is there a way to disable the drawing tool (for players)?

As a DM is there a way to restrict or disable the drawing tool? I don't want players to draw over maps or areas that depict spell effects as well as to limit their way to draw stupid stuff.
No. All you can do is to tell your players to not do that.

With the API, you can immediately move and resize any drawings. That aren't owned by the GM.
I recommend opening a thread in the Suggestions category for this. The ability to disable the player's drawing tool is something that gets asked for occasionally but I'm not aware of any movement on it.
Tell them to stop. If they don't... kick their asses out of the game and find new players. Rinse repeat.

You won't be able to use API with a Supporter account, only Mentors have access to it.

I am lucky, I suppose, in that I've never had the player's drawing tool problem with the games I've run. But apparently it happens fairly frequently, overall.

Also, can I even use it as normal subscriber? As Brett pointed out, it requires a mentor level subscription. Sorry, I should have been explicit about that up front. As for an example, I don't know that anyone has written it, but it would be about 5 lines of code. I'd be happy to throw it together for you if you want to go that route (or if anyone else wants it).
