Players cant move their tokens

Ive been having a problem where I as the GM will place a player token on the map before combat and then my players suddenly cant move their tokens until they place it down themselves. Ive checked the settings and the player and I should both beable to control and edit the token. I was just wondering if there's a way around this so I can place the token on the map and they can control it.

You are not the only one! Experienced it myself as a player more than once, but never with myself as GM...

You might want to recheck to be sure the tokens are linked exactly the way they should be. I don't even remember what I did now, but back when I set up spell templates linked to character sheets for players to drag out and place templates, I did something that left everyone with the permission to interact with the sheets, but the tokens would only be interacted with by the person that dragged them out.  As GM I could always interact with them, but if a player dragged one out, then no other player could interact with the template.  Double check your token setup and maybe reset the "represents" on the token and then reset the default on the sheet.
For us, they were set up and linked exactly that way, and still when our GM draw them onto a new map we could not move them. Only after we drew them out of the journal we could move them again...
