Fog of War Color

Hello everyone! First time post. I'm in the process of setting up a long term campaign for my game crew, and I really like the fog of war feature. However, I was wondering if there was any way to change the fog of war color for the players. It's solid black and that blacks out the entire map. Instead, I'd like it to be a transparent fog of war like the GM has when they change their opacity. That way they can see the map, but only uncover what they have light to see (a good example would be a city at night. You know the buildings are there, but you can't really see anything until you're close). Thanks!

There isn't a way of doing this currently. It's a much discussed topic in some of the other forums though. I think the most popular work around is having a dim light from a clear token dropped all over, and keep anything you don't want the players to see on the GM layer until they can see it. Not ideal, but functional.
Hey that's a pretty neat workaround for now. Hopefully they implement this. It's not like the fog of war opacity isn't already coded! Thanks for the input.

No worries. I was considering as I wrote this how I could write an API script that would automatically move things to/from the GM layer when they are outside the light of the PCs... could get complicated with walls, but still and interesting problem... when I get done with the 20 or so other scripts on my list of todos... =D
