Text tool outline improvements

Ideally, when you create an outline for text, usually to make it more readable over a background, the outline only expands outward from the edge of the letters, not effecting the width of the original type. With the current text tool, the outline expands both outwards from the edge of the font, but also inwards, making the original text harder to read, not easier. This might be corrected by having the outline appear behind the base color and then thickening up the outline a bit more. Here's an example of what I'm saying: 1st line: White Text (hard to read on light backgrounds) 2nd line: White w/ black outline (easier to see, but not easier to read) 3rd line: White text w/ black outline behind (outline is very thin) 4th line: White text on top of Black text offset (drop shadow style would be a nice option) 5th line: This is more what I would expect from an outline.

I doubt that this will receive enough upvotes to avoid being closed, but it's worth posting again. The text outline is not implemented well.
+1 Yes this would be a great QoL update.
Glad someone else agrees! I'm an artist myself, so these types of things really matter to me. I was trying to label a map with locations and the text was just getting so hard to read that I had to put boxes behind the type to get them to be readable.
Would also be useful if you can just have a rectangular fill on the textbox
Ah like the "Background" subtitle option in some games. That would be good. A third box for background [text color] [outline color] [background color] that way we can use the hex code trick to also add levels of opacity.
