Hey Gamers! I am going to be doing something different for me here on Roll20. I'll be running a New Champion Complete (Champions/Hero Games 6e) introductory adventure. This is for people with a love of superheroes comics/Animation/Movies/Series, or people who have an interest in ttrpgs but are new, and/or for people new to Roll20. You only have to fit in one of the previously mentioned categories or all of them. This is a free game, with no commitment, that's why it is listed as a pick-up game. If there''s a seat available and the game is running jump on in. I will run the game for no more than 7 players at a time, 1 session at a time. This is a 5-Session adventure that will introduce you to Roll20 as well as one of my favorite ttrpgs! In fact this was the very first ttrpg I ever played! I was a 12 year old middle schooler, when I was fortunate to come across a group of boys playing Champions 2e during a lunch period in Jr. High School back in the early 80s. I have never looked back! It is my luck that as time went on I have had the pleasure to run/play in many, many other ttrpgs as well. I must inform you Champions is a crunchy rule-system, but if I could learn to play an enjoy this game as a child, so there is really no reason why no one else child or adult who can at least read/write at the 6th grade level+, anyone can learn and enjoy this game (though if you hate the supers genre, well... this game may not be for you. The great thing here is that this Introductory adventure eases new players into the game, by limiting how many rules are introduced into each game session (each session builds on the previous sessions). Dang, I didn't have this option as a kid! This makes getting into Champions even easier for those looking to try out a ttrpg. The game is normally a point buy system for character creation which allows a player to create almost any power/ability they could think up. But, this Introductory adventure only uses pre-generated characters. A player interested in this game only needs to show up to the "table," choose a character that interests them, and play. I must advise you that each game session is limited in seating and returning players , that have "reserves a seat," have priority over new players, so long as they have played in the previous session and informed me at the end of that session they plan to return for the next session. All reservations are lost 15 mins past each start time. Reserved players join on a first come first serve basis. So long as players follow the Code of Conduct see listing thread they will be able to participate. After an adventure has been ran to a conclusion, I will begin a new adventure for new players. So long as interest in playing remains (and my health). I am a Pro subscriber and I will use Roll20 voice as well as the tabletop. Players must be able to communicate via Roll20 voice to participate. You do not need to purchase anything including books to play/participate. If you wish you can purchase Champions Complete, but you won't need it for this adventure, I will provide any thing necessary to participate in game, via Roll20's Champions Complete resource. If you purchase this product I beg of you not to read through the adventure. It has spoilers. Please do not read any reviews, this allows you to fully experience the adventure and game system with the other new players. If you like the game/adventure, reserve your purchase after you finish the adventure. If you're a returning player to Champions or the Hero system that wishes to participate, you are welcome to join so long as you've never played/ran the Introductory adventure. Also, please understand that the rules we use in a session will be limited to only the rules being introduced, and you must restrain from telling other players about information outside of the rules specifically being used in a session. You can talk about that after the conclusion of the adventure. Whew! I know that may have been a lot. If you're still here reading and are interested in participating please join us. You can jump in on any session if there is an opening. Although, you may wish to experience the adventure from session 1. I'll try to keep a log posted in the treads on which session number I will be running next. There is a listing link below click there to learn more and join. Also feel free to just leave a comment. Note this is a game for children and adults, so watching our language and the content is important. This is an LGBT+ friendly game please be mindful of this important fact prior to joining. I don't normally run games allowing minors, but if any game is great for minors to experience, Champions is one of them. May you have the pleasure of falling in love or at least experience great enjoyment in ttrpgs. Happy dicing!
