Hey! I'm DM Joe and looking for some players. Games run about 4-5 hours. 5pm CST Sundays. We just ended a year and a half long campaign. Playing a new one(mini-campaign) for about 2 months. We're looking for 2-3 more who just want to have fun and play some good DND. Campaign Introduction: The campaign is broken into 2 segments; each segment will be about 3 sessions (aprox 2 months). Setting: There will be a split setting for this campaign. Players will start in the “real-world” as humans in modern day, United States of America (this doesn’t mean your character has to be from the USA, just will start there setting wise). The majority of the campaign will be in the magical world, Drasylia, connected to the “real-world”. Your backstory will be based on the “real-world”. Main plot: After hearing of the death of a long-time friend, you receive a text from him reading “It’s been a while, but I finally need your help. I promise it’ll be worth it. Meet me at this cafe in Philadelphia in 5 days at 7pm. personal message” (each character will have a personal message added after session 0 to go with your character’s backstory). You notice a link that includes plane tickets for you to come to Philadelphia.  Character creation: Level 3 starting characters. Point-buy, roll for HP (reroll if first roll is a one) or take average (must declare at beginning of campaign and no swapping), free level 1 feat and common magic item with starting equipment. All official races are allowed. Classes and subclasses must be from official 5e books (no HB subclasses for now, but open to adjustments to weaker subclasses in session 0). Character Sheets: Players will have a character sheet for Drasylia and a separate character sheet for the 'real-world'. All stats are halved from your regular character sheet in the 'real-world' and you possess none of your class abilities. However, you do get the proficiencies tied to your background (for example, if you picked a sailor background, you would have proficiencies in athletics, persuasion, water vehicles, and navigator’s tools). Background: Your background should be tied to the real-world and include your connection to the deceased life-long friend that invited you to Philadelphia right before his death. Your bodies transform or change when arriving in this magical world; you just have the memories from the real-world as it is your body essentially. Throughout the campaign, your character’s race and class will determine much of the backstory to be explored in the new world that will be unlocked or created as we go.
