Nameplate positioning

Did a search for what I thought was a simple enquiry with no results... When turning the nameplate on, it seems to only position it below the token with no alternative option. This makes the nameplate overlap the token below if there is one. Maybe a solution is apparent, but I've looked around at the options and even in the forums (only 2 results for name plate). Is there any way to set the nameplate inside the token that it represents? If not, it would just make sense to have that feature I think.

It is a good idea but you can always right click on the token and send it to the back. This places the nameplate and token behind the one it is blocking. Just remember that it is to the back so any other token could overlap over it now also.
Technically Pat, you can just uncheck the nameplate for that. Just hope the positioning can be set so itd be visible inside the token... I have no real reason to continue my subscription but I was still kinda hoping to get an answer from someone in dev for something this simple. oh well...

True on the uncheck part but do you think it is that easy to change the positioning? I'm not a programmer so I'm curious about it.
Oddly enough, it should be. Used to code html before for sites and forums. But hey, if they told me it wasn't gonna be easy, least its an answer.

Well this section of the forums is for the making suggestions and discussing it. Not to many responses happen in here from the devs but I've been assured that they do read the threads and posts. The way I understand it the more a topic is politely discussed the more likely the devs will look at incorporating it into the coding.

It's probably not as easy as just changing the position. There is the UI for choosing the position as well as the backend storage of the choice and updating the code to consult that choice at runtime. Still, as things go it seems like a reasonably small amount of work and a useful suggestion. :)
Good point aaron. but like I said, if it wasn't easy, it's still an answer. I'm keeping the sub for now anyways. Hopefully, they'll get around to it...
