[LFP][5e][Online][18+][POC/LGBT+ Friendly][Alternating Tuesdays - 6PM Arizona]

I’m Levi (He/They).  lightly experienced DM looking to find 1 or 2 players for my campaign, every game starts on Alternating Tuesdays at 6:00pm Arizona Time and will typically last for 3-3.5 hours. But no later than 9-9:30pm Arizona Time. (Starting Late October 24th or Early November 7th when I get everyone together.) A prequel Session will be at level one. The Main story is levels 3 to 16 All official content is allowed, if you're looking to use UA or Homebrew, I will have to curate it before allowing it in my game. I’m happy to play with newer and veterans, but would prefer players that at least understand 5E. My Players are a diverse group, POC and LGBT+ I love collaborating so If you want to add a little flair to help the world building and solidify a character for you, making it fit into the world, I am always happy to talk it out. This campaign will have a healthy mix of roleplay and combat.   I am looking for Martials or Half Casters as our party consists of: Dr Cayrannthiketer, a Kolbold Bladesong Wizard (Potential Echo knight) Loche, a Tiefling Wildfire Druid/Homebrew Sorcerer Ace, A Changeling Glamour Bard _____, An Air Genasi Storm Sorcerer Fathomless Warlock   Stipulations: Kenku are not a playable race. Warforged (Due to lore) must be not humanoid in design. Fighters, Barbarians, and Warlocks have the option to use UA7 form one DND as I really enjoy that work.   We play using Discord and Roll 20 -Voice chat (Specifically discord) is necessary.   The setting is my homebrew world of Ikeokera Imagine if you will a world that is a touch gothic horror with a good helping of steampunk, packaged in an aesthetic of 1880s to 1930s. We have Trains! We have Radios! Technology is booming, The Arcana is in great use, The Gods roam the world, and should you get lost enough Dinosaurs can be found lurking and stalking. The beautiful thing of this world of adventure is that anything can happen. The horrifying thing of this world is that anything can happen. The Theme of this Campaign is Backrooms. The things that are just out of view in the stories of our lives. In the hustle and bustle of getting our shot, making out claims when the possibilities are endless, what is missing. What is underneath it all? Something is wrong. But what? Session Zero Crit damage: Max Dice + Dice Roll Potion drinking: Action Maximum Health, Bonus Action Roll dice Nat 20s critical success /Nat 1s critical Failure Death Saving Throws – rolled privately between GM and Player Revivify being means you will reroll death saves. (Other players will not be able to use potions of healing spells during this.) If failed, Raise Dead must be cast. HP Rolls – roll or take the average if you do not like the roll Romance is possible in the game. Sex is ALWAYS fade to black. No racism, No transphobia, No Homophobia or OTHER ISMS If something is confusing and clarifying the actions would cause you to take another action you may do so. If something makes you feel uncomfortable during a session feel free to DM me B E INTRESTED IN EACH OTHER AS CHARACTERS. More rules will come as needed. DM me, or respond in the comment section with the answers to these questions if you're interested: What about the description or this post interested you? What had brought you to dnd, friends, CR,  D20? What’s your ideal game? Memorable moments in campaigns you had good or bad – in dnd or roll playing games? When you given lore what’s the first thing that you look for or look at? What is the most enjoyable part of DnD for you? (Interactions with the environment, combat, RPing, ect.) I am going to keep this up for a week. If I like your responses, I'll hit you up to see if we connect well. If we do I'll run a one shot with you and the party I have so far to see if we call get along. After that if we'll have you join us.
Hey, I'm Palps, discord name is palps1 What about the description or this post interested you?   Setting sounds pretty cool and I like the idea of the sort of time frame, not to mention agreeable stipulations that I'd likely have in my own games. What had brought you to dnd, friends, CR,  D20? I had always been interested in D&D and wanted to get into it for years, then I heard my college was starting a D&D club and I pretty much fell into it from there. What’s your ideal game? I like it when a DM works with players to adapt and realise goals of both parties. I also like for other players to communicate and RP together, even if i isn't necessarily moving the game along. This one is a small detail, but it's kinda a big deal for me due to past experiences, but I like when a DM allows players to roleplay in-game character disagreements, as I feel it is extremely advantageous for character relationships and character building. Beyond this just understanding, and no railroading. Memorable moments in campaigns you had good or bad – in dnd or roll playing games? This may seem like an odd one, but the moment that first comes to my mind is the time I kinda got one over on a bad DM. For context, the DM was extremely railroady, blamed players when they fucked up (which was often) and pretty much punished players for trying to roleplay in anyway that didn't directly progress his story. Anyway, it seems small, but I managed to do something small, ridiculous and not important to the story at all... I did a barrel roll with an air ship. The DM, of course, fought against this hard. The rope I used to secure myself broke, despite me rolling a 17 to tie it, and the rope being new. But I managed to grab the helm and rolled well to hang on. Again, this seems small but this is a guy who plagued our group for a while and almost always got his way, so I guess just that small victory, and his salty attitude afterwards, really stuck in my memory. When you given lore what’s the first thing that you look for or look at?   First I guess I try to piece it in and see how/if it connects to other lore that I know, and I also try to see if there is something that my character would notice or would be particularly relevant or noteworthy for my character. What is the most enjoyable part of DnD for you? (Interactions with the environment, combat, RPing, ect.) I'dsay probably PC to PC roleplay with generall roleplay being a close second and freedom being a close third. I really enjoy all aspects of D&D but these really make or break a campaign for me I'd say. Just a note, I'm applying with a guy called Leviticus. Thanks for your consideration and hope to hear from you soon about that test/one-shot.
Hello, my name is Levi and I'm with another player (his account is called palps) we'd appreciate if you could consider us to fill these positions and we can discuss things in more detail in a call if you'd like in the near future. We're both very dedicated players and hope we can bring something special to your game. What about the description or this post interested you?: I love campaigns with details that are hidden in plain sight, things that you notice but fail to connect even though they become obvious in the future. This does not mean I'm good at connecting dots.....but I like when it happens. So the theme of "the things just out of view in the stories" intrigues me. What had brought you to dnd, friends, CR,  D20: It was my friends that brought me into dnd, we started in college 2 years ago and have been playing almost every week twice for 6+ hours each, we have rarely ever missed a session. What’s your ideal game?: I find the best games are those where the characters stories matter, often times you feel like these character never existed until the session starts and that can be a bit of a drag. Additionally I love when social encounters are allowed to play out, many times they are cut off short, which makes sense in keeping the sessions flowing but it takes away from the characters, which means they'll have less to say in the future. Memorable moments in campaigns you had good or bad – in dnd or roll playing games?: I once played a changeling named Fom and they decided to shapechange to make their eyes into periscopes to see over a ledge.....not an important moment but I found it funny. There was also the time I played a yuan-ti and straight up told a dragon turtle to simply rest while we passed rather than continue fighting. When you given lore what’s the first thing that you look for or look at?: I like to look at the settlements, their technology and their hierarchy first. This helps me determine what kind of character I want to play and how they fit into the world. What is the most enjoyable part of DnD for you? (Interactions with the environment, combat, RPing, ect.): RP is my favourite part of dnd, I enjoy combat when it's challenging but most the time it drags on and it doesn't make me feel on edge. The environment can be fun to interact with though of course that depends on the place.
