Hey, I’m Conor. I hope you’re feeling good and ready to hear about my D&D campaign. Straight off the bat I want to say this is going to be a hyper specific kind of post to reflect a hyper specific kind of game, so here are some warnings: This game will not be starting properly until January but leading up to then we will be working together on character creation, solo sessions for backstory, and one shots for group comfortability. I wake up at 6am EST and go to sleep at 10pm EST so this game will end up at a time in between then. Preferably on the weekend but I’m flexible Comedy and Campy centric campaigns are not for me, I’m happy for the people who love them but my game will not be like that so please don’t have that kind of character in mind. I love difficult combat, so I ask for experienced players who enjoy making optimized characters. The game will cover many adult themes. If you have specific phobias or triggers I’m happy to exclude niche things but if any major graphic themes bother you I’d steer clear. In the past I’ve struggled with burnout and depression which directly affects either the quality or even the existence of my campaigns. I ask for respect in this aspect and in return I always give my players space to step away or leave the game at any time free of judgement for any reason. If that vague description of barriers doesn’t prevent you from wanting to hear about my game/homebrew world I encourage you to add me on discord (ConorHermes). My goal with this post is twofold. I want players to read through my documents, chat with me on discord, and go through my regular process of getting to know people before ultimately deciding who would be a good fit for the party. We will then work together to determine how best to run the game and give me time to fully implement your backstories into the campaign. As we approach the campaign start in January we will do solo sessions for backstory moments and one shots for practice/group comfort. Any players who don’t fit well I would love to show you even more I have about the campaign to hear your criticism. Feel free to message me for that even if you don’t intend on playing, or even if you’re just curious. I love talking about D&D and stories in general so I’m open to any conversations.
