Bizarre RAM Usage Spikes

Hi All, So I have been using R20 for a while now to run online games and stream them. To start with it was working amazingly. Could run battles on it with Maps, tokens and have music running, all the while streaming it all. However, the past two months I have noticed that suddenly, from nowhere R20 has started using alot more RAM, to the point where it is now taking up 2GB on its own and crashing our streams because it wants more. Oddly, We have moved to a new system for the past two shows, and we don't use maps anymore, just music and character sheets. At this point R20 is just a glorified jukebox and character sheet folder, and it is still hammering machines.  My only theory is that the program isn't handling music particularly well. When a track is on repeat rather than reusing the same memory blocks it had for the music before, it reserves new ones and this repeats over and over again getting bigger over time. Closing and reopening R20 flushes it all out and we go back to like 500MB before it starts climbing back up again. Really unsure what has caused this as back in April-August this was a perfect product. I run on a Apple M1 Mac with 8GB Memory. I have tried using Google Chrome, Firefox and Opera GX for R20. Opera seems to be the best at keeping RAM usage down, even if the site doesn't respect the browsers RAM limiter. (I tried to set it so that it could only take up 1GB of memory)

Hi Hedgehawk! My hardware/software is very similar to yours (M1 16GB, Chrome), and I loop music throughout a session without a performance issue. Of course, I haven't run OBS or similar while running a game in quite some time. I'm assuming you have toggled Hardware Acceleration on in your browser? There is a dedicated thread to this problem here . There does not seem to be a strong pattern as to who is affected.

It is really bizarre as back in August it was great, and now I can't run music during a session without the RAM usage spiking. CPU is perfectly fine, only RAM.
