Looking for players for new group 18+ sundays

I am looking for some players for weekly or bi-weekly games on Sundays. this could be more than one campaign if the group does really well, but I would start small. I have been GMing for about 4 or 5 years now and have built a pretty large world for my games as well as a game id really REALLY want to run that is based on the domains of dread. I know it's just past spooky season but horror is just to fun to run. My last and only group was going on for maybe 7 years. Nothing broke us up. two of my best friends and players are just taking some time off dnd as to not burn out and to get settled in some life changes.  Anyway, about what I look for specifically. please don't be a douche. it's a chill, fun, not strict game at all where I rely of judgement calls for the story and what makes everyone feel immersed over what the dang rules say. Also, power gamers and meta gamers. I know how to break you, so please just make what you enjoy not what is overpowered in your mind because I know how to get past any dumb strategy you may try to pull. look out con checks. I allow a large amount of creative freedom and for that I use a custom way to create your class. have in mind the class you want as well as subclass. then pick a second subclass from ANY other class. when you reach appropriate levels to those abilities you get them to. I'd love to get some people together for a makeshift session 0 to learn the character building and to brainstorm or just waste a ton of time laughing or messing around. there we can also discuss and vote on the domains of dread game or possibly making a game within my own personal world.  That world being, Indranil.  a world where many gods live among the people. each territory is vast and different from the next allowing entire campaigns to exist within each zone. again, once we have some people together, we can go over the maps and figure out what everyone wants in the campaign. If you could be really awesome and do me a favor, tell me about yourself and your gaming experience. favorite class or what your focus in games is whether it be combat, roleplaying or story building. also let me know your age and something unique about yourself.  I'll also do the same.  I'm a 31-year-old guy who has been playing for about 8 years in 5e. I really love paladins thematically, but I think favorite class would be barbarians. I have been a DM for the last 5 years, so I am very much a world builder person. not so unique but I spent some years in the military with two major deployments overseas.  thank you very much if you actually read all of that and I truly look forward to the people I may meet through this community.
Hey I'm interested in joining if you still have space  sounds interesting and fun.  Im pix 28yrs young but my body feels like a old lady's :( I have been playing for about 5 years now I tend to play druids, rangers and fighters but I am interested in playing a monk or barbarian soon as I have never had the chance. My fav class is druid it was my first class I played and it was alot of fun.  I really enjoy roleplaying  and story building, combat it fun and enjoyable aslo as it makes sense to the storyline and not just random and out of place. I like puzzles but I'm soooo sooo sooooo bad at them.  Hmmmmm interesting information about me I don't really know tbh I'm a collector of cool tattooes and I can cook a decent ramen from scratch. Thanks for reading hope to hear from you soon :)
Hi, this sounds really interesting and I'd love to join if you still have space. I'm 18, and haven't been playing for too long. I've only played 5e one-shots but have done quite a few of them so I understand how 5e works. Class-wise, I haven't played enough to really know what I like but I've really enjoyed playing Cleric, Warlock, and Druid, but I would be really into trying other classes too. I enjoy combat and role-play equally well (which is to say a lot) with puzzle-solving lagging behind a bit, but something that I do think is fun. I've also spent a great deal of time overseas so it's cool to see someone else who's done it too. Anyway, lmk if you have any additional questions for me, and I hope to hear from you soon!
Hello, I'm interested in joining your campaign :) I'm 26 years old and ready to jump in to a campaign. My experience in PLAYING is a tad dry but I've watched literal HUNDREDS of hours of campaigns so, hopefully, it makes up for actually playing. I'm totally flexible with the GM/DM on any setup or ruling. I'm looking to have fun and have my mind blown. Personally, I enjoy combat and world building and seeing how everything connects.  How to hear from you soon about starting :)
Hi, my name is Chris (they/he) and I'm 37 years old. This sounds interesting and I've been looking for a Sunday game to get into. I have been playing D&D for a bit over a year with my regular Saturday group. While I'm not too picky about characters I will admit to a fondness for Paladins. I've tried other classes, but I found the mix of magic and martial fighting is a perfect fit for me. I don't really have a preference on combat/role play. Both are real fun. Role play lets my creative side out, and combat is great when I just need to wack someone with a sword after a long week. As for a fun fact...I'm a bit of a political junkie. Kinda comes with my day job. But don't worry, I am not one to go on long rants (at least not with strangers). I try to keep my weekends as stress free as possible, so while I certainly have Opinions, I'm not likely to drag them into games.
Hey how’s it going? im James 39, completely brand new to table top games but I enjoy playing them in video game format like baldurs gate. Sundays are the perfect day for me to play for a couple hours. I have two kids and a wife so obviously things will come up but I’m pretty easy going and able to work around stuff. ive been dealing with a a lot of social anxiety and just trying to get out there more. So I feel like a group of new people coming together and not taking things to serious would be perfect. I have some idea of how I’d like to play but of course all notes and recommendations are welcomed. Hopefully I answered everything and look forward to hearing from you all.

Hey, this sounds pretty interesting! I'd love to chat and see if you think I'd be a good fit. :)  I'm Melody. My pronouns are they/she, and I'm in my mid-30s. I have been a new-school, 5e DM for going on 3 years now. I do include DMPCs in my own campaigns because it just helps me keep the player perspective in mind, but I haven't had a chance to just be a player yet, and I'd love to try that. Your Domains of Dread campaign seems especially interesting to me. :)  I tend to focus more on roleplay & storybuilding, and I like to blend the two where possible. I can do combat and love it, but imo the combat feeds the story, not the other way around. I'm a story-first kind of person, and while I love a character who can make big moves in one way or another, I will choose the less powerful options if that's what makes sense for the character.  Class-wise... I haven't had much chance to play, but I love a good tank & healer -- someone with magic, courage, and a desire to protect others in some way.  I've been a DMPC cleric (twilight) and I'm currently playing a DMPC barbarian (will be zealot path) and preparing to play another Twilight Cleric (in Strahd), and both are very fun. I'd love to play a druid or paladin, but I have fun ideas for every class (except maybe blood hunter); I'd be most likely to settle on a character after hearing what everyone else was playing. Whatever I settle on is likely to be on the good-aligned side. I am also not really the basic human fighter type; I could be a fighter, but they'd be, like, a bugbear or a gnome or something equally quirky and cute. I am neurodivergent (AuDHD + cPTSD & a few others), and my characters tend to be at least autistic, as well -- I'm not sure I could play a neurotypical character.  I and my characters tend to be pretty earnest, direct, passionate, and emotionally-driven. I am not afraid to physically and openly cry while playing D&D; it's good for the story and for the soul. My current group is exclusively queer and neurodivergent -- and mostly trans -- so that's kind of the framework I'm coming from, but I'm willing to be part of a group that's a little more normative as long as everyone's decent.
Hello, Was wondering if recruitment was still open for this potential game or if the max number of players was met :)
I guess i will throw my name into the hat here, 31 year old man, My name is Tom and I been playing tabletop games on and off for 10 years now (typing that made me feel old). Id love to get together and see if the group would work for me. I am curious what time you are thinking of for the game time on sundays though. My first love will always be the wizard, i just cant help myself. In general i would like to come up with a character that will fit the world and campaign so i cant say exactly what i would like to play. you do not have to worry about powergaming, I have played my sub-optimal characters in my time. I enjoy roleplaying and combat. also rolling shiny math rocks haha.
Hello,  Thank you fellow Veteran, this sounds pretty cool. I'm 45, male, Army Veteran, Xbox gamer, Chef, and just started playing 5e this year, currently in bi-weekly games on Tuesday nights (Curse of Strahd and a custom campaign). I'd be interested in playing a Moon Elf Blade Bard mostly because I'm familiar with him. I love a good balance of RP and Combat, with a smaller focus on story-building (unless there are good recaps to help me remember). How many players are you looking to have? How many hours a session do you plan on playing?  Warning!! I drink, smoke, and cuss a bit. No worries if it offends, I can mostly keep it to a dull roar :)

Hi there, my Name is Marc and I’m a 26 year old dude from Germany. I have been playing dnd for roundabout 5 years at this point with my biggest achievement being dming a longrunning 2 year campaign that actually came to a conclusion. If I would have to choose a favorite class I would say it’s bard but honestly it’s casters in general. I like to build my characters around the lore of the region/world to create the feeling of immersion and make it make sense for them to be where they are in the first place. Leading me to my favorite playstyle. I do really enjoy storydriven and rp heavy games. With actual character development and conversations that reach beyond campfire banter. Combat is obviously still a part of it too, but just not a focus for me personally. As for an interesting fact about myself: I work 3 voluntary jobs at the moment, that fill out my schedule quite a lot, and am currently working on a project to establish some of the clubs I work for to a wider audience. Naturally this devours a lot of my free time, which made it even harder to find a game to play in. Nevertheless Sunday is my flexible day so I would be more than interested to hear more about the game and the table of course. If the applications are still open I would love to hear from you to talk details. :)
Hi, lots of posts for this one but would still like to be considered if possible. Im 40yr old male based in UK, looking for games in evening UK time. Technically a complete newbie to DnD but I’ve been playing RPGs (favourite type of game) for years on console and love the worlds, the stories and either getting into the characters or being my own take on them and I’ve been watching DnD games online for a cpl of years now and was looking to get into it during covid but stuff happened that stopped that, lately been playing Baldurs Gate 3 which has driven me to get my act together and try and actually get into DnD for real,  i suppose I’d probably be a rogue or warlock as chosen classes.
Hi-Hello! I've been shuffling through some LFP posts and I immediately fell for yours, describing player freedom and your homebrew world, welcoming creativity! :> I'm looking for a stable weekly/bi-weekly game as a player, as I'm currently having my hands full DM'ing another game, missing what it feels like to be a player again. My name's Bowie, I'm a 25-year-old dude from Denmark and have been at it with 5e for about 2 years. I'd say I have a good grasp on the foundation of 5e, but of course have plenty to learn! I'd describe myself as a warm, fun-loving dude, who loves creating in-depth storylines, with a focus on helping other player's stories shine in the spotlight. I haven't tried out all classes yet, but I always find myself coming back to ye' old Ranger, as I always feel like I can play them in unique and different ways. As a player I'm way more of a flavor guy as opposed to playing what's best, so I typically focus on the role-play and personality aspect of things! Checking out with a fun fact, I study 3D Digital art on the side and do a lot of digital sculpts of landscapes and characters, love visualizing things and bringing them to life. I also do a lil voice acting on the side for fun :] Hope to hear back from ya' and if I don't, I hope you'll have a stellar game with some awesome players! :>
I just saw this post and was wondering if I am here too late? Do you still accept applications?
