Preferred Name - Viz Age - 45 Country/Time Zone - USA/EST RPG Experience - I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons since the mid--80's, cutting my teeth on the venerable AD&D before transitioning into 3.5. Despite a brief foray into 4e, my heart remained steadfastly loyal to 3.5 and we stuck with that all the way until 5e was released. And that's where I found my true gaming home, and I've been passionately exploring its depths ever since. Preferred play style percentage - My favored play style skews significantly towards the realms of role-playing and exploration. I do love combat though, so I would say it's a harmonious 60/40 blend in slight favor of narrative immersion over combat encounters. That said, I do think combat encounters can be very narrative in and of itself, so my enthusiasm towards them knows no bounds, and I'm open to embracing any facet of the game with equal zeal. What are you looking for in a D&D game? - I am wholeheartedly drawn to the enchantement of collaborative storytelling, seeking a D&D experrience where fellow players share a collective passion for crafting an immersive adventure and breathing life into a shared narrative. My desire extends beyond the exploration of my character alone though. I really love to delve into the intricacies of the entire party, forging connections and relationships that enrich the unfolding tale. Furthermore, I am on the loookout for an epic adventure, and the prospect of delving into the expansive lore that Storm Kings Thunder brings, is quite exciting to me. I've never played the module, but I do know it's one of 5e most expansive backgrounds taking you all over the Sword Coast, and that's just right up my ally. Tell me about yourself - I go by the moniker Viz, a nickname that has stuck with me since childhood, derived from "Visual" with a charming backstory to boot. :) My journey with D&D spans back to the mid 80's as I've previously said, and since around 2010, I've fully embraced the role of Dungeon Master for my groups. Although my opportunities to step into the player's shoes have been sporadic, I relish those moments when they arise. As a player, I take genuine delight in ensuring that my fellow adventurers have their time in the spotlight, orchestrating setups for memorable and awe-inspiring moments. Perhaps it's the Dungeon Master within me, but witnessing others revel in the game brings me immense joy. Beyond the realms of tabletop adventures, I am a professional voice actor conducting most of my recordings from my home studio. So my audio quality for the game will be as good as Discord will allow. While I possess the capability for voice acting, I am attuned to the table's vibe and only integrate this element if it aligns with the group's preferences - so no awkward moments "hopefully" on that end. In terms of availability, Sundays mark a dedicated day off for me, and I work late on Mondays, conveniently from home, so you can rest assured, that reliability is never an issue with me. Also reliability is a cornerstone of my commentment to any campaign either as a player or a DM. Character Info: I am willing to play literally any class to round out the groups needs, but here is one fun concept I could see playing for this campaign particually. Race - Human "Vanilla I know, but my character concept makes it fun" Class - Rune Knight Fighter, with eventual barbarian dips - He's a grappler/entertainer akin to the sword coast version of a WWF wrestler. Super over the top personality, massive, and loves to fight! Also, because he is an entertainer, he has a bit of charisma to boot. "Not party face worthy, but enough to at least be entertaining". All that said - I am 100% willing to fill whatever role the party needs. I love making characters and writing backstories, and there isn't a class that I don't like. https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/113015875 Obviously I would flesh the sheet out a bit more. This will just give you an idea of the character concept mechanically. Edit: fixed some typos
