So let me get to the meat of it. I haven't played D&D in 25 years. Not in a serious way at any rate. I've done one shots and pick up games that fell apart because of peoples schedules. My 9 yr old wants me to run a campaign for him and our family because he's in love with it all. I'm looking for a group that will take a new to 5e player. I'm a teacher so I can only play on weekends and if it's a Sunday I've got to be wrapped up by 7pm EST. So really Saturday night EST games are really all I've got. Fridays are father/son night. If anyone's got room or feeling charitable let me know. As for a character, I'm open to playing anything and I've been making NPCs for this campaign for two weeks now so I can come up with one relatively quickly. I've read the PHB and DMG so I'm not unfamiliar with rules and such just looking for a group to help me get back into the swing of ttrpg.
