Hello there adventurer! My name is Kris (37Male/He/Him) , Im what you call a "forever" DM, from the very beginning when I first started trying to learn with my friends, I was the one who ran the games for everyone. I continue to do so now, 20 + years later, only today I get to use the music I create at home, and the maps I make on my computer, instead of drawing on grid paper while we listen to my cd player skip in the background. I've been successfully running campaigns as a paid DM with 3-4 games a week for over 8 years now, and loving every minute of it! :) To the point, what do I bring to the table: Effort. I make maps constantly , I practice the voices I use for my characters daily , if something in the module is missing, like a location, art, or information, I get it myself every time . I add in music , I build and create things myself digitally or by hand with programs like mixcraft or dungeonfog. My main goal with the games I run is to make sure the modules feel both full of life and creativity, I don't want to come off as a robot reading from a book while you roll dice, that's not what your money should be going to. I literally nerd out for this stuff, and love to connect in tiny details from all the canon that exists, bringing in exciting side quests, and memorable npcs that can echo throughout all the games we play together, not just a one off experience. ( Volo does seem to find himself everywhere) I make sure I'm available to my players , and don't charge them for conversations out of the game , if you msg me, I will respond the same day unless something comes up. As for the rules, I allow everything that's RAW , I'm not strict in that manner, and allow my players to roll for their stats if they wish. I'm not looking to create a pvp environment, and I always hope my players succeed, so feel free to go crazy as long as it exists in a legal book. That in mind, most modules I run involve players getting to level 20 , with a little bit of homebrew thrown into the story at the end to carry you over to the finish. Most games take a year and a half to about 2 years to complete, but I'm dedicated and have finished countless campaigns without needing to rush, all the while adding in tons of backstory and character development along the way. When you build a character, you can expect that build to be completed , same with the story you wish to tell for yourself as we journey together. If you wish to just complete the module, and be done, I'm more than happy to help you accomplish that also, I'm just always trying to give the most "bang for the buck". I don't want to write a story here, I think that everyone's "pitches" kind of feel that same after a certain point, so if you've made it this far, watch the videos below, listen to the funny voices I can make, I put together all the music, sound effects and stuffs. Enjoy them, and feel free use them for your own game/s, as well. (Discord for voice, Roll20 for Game, Session 0 Always Free) I'm available all day Monday.
