How to reveal an image below another image with a mask

If you take a look at these 3 images you will see they are identical images with different reveals. https://www.reddit.com/r/osr/comments/14ua20f/check_out_this_camp_righteous_map_i_drew_for_all/ Is there a way in roll20 to take 2 of these images and reveal one of them by either painting or erasing something like a mask? I was thinking of putting one layer on the map layer and the other on the token layer? I can't see how this can be done in Roll20.

Hi The DM! You can put all three on the map layer, and just select the top one and "Send to Back" to reveal each successive map. You will need to make sure they are in register of course. Locking their position would probably be a good idea once you have it set up.
This is not what I am trying to do. Yes, I can reveal the whole image. I am hoping to only reveal portions of the new image.
What I do is take the initial picture into an image editor and cut from it different sections which will cover over the end image in the different places I want. Then when I upload the ultimate map, I place the other pieces on top to cover the areas which I want to remain hidden. I can then go in and click on the masking section and move it to the back to reveal a small part of the map at a time. I also do this with dynamic sections which change several times by making a rollable token with the different views and then place that on the map layer. I can switch which image is viewed by clicking and changing which 'side' of the rollable token is showing.
Thank-you. So, roll20 can't do it. Yes creating a chopped up image or hover image like in the late 90's early 2000's is a very mechanical way of doing this.
Why not create all of the various possibilities as images and make a rollable table?

I think al e. has the only real solution, assuming I understand exactly what you are trying to do. This is not something that Roll20 is designed for.
OR you can place the images on top of each other and each time something gets revealed send the top image to the back...
